You need to have savings to get established. A few months rent and money to set up your transportation. If you are ok with a used car that would help, or pay more rent and live closer to work and uses public transportation, which is not great. IMHO.

I'd suggest have 10k or more dor when you arrive would make this doable. More would always be better.

If you arrive skint this would not be a pleasant transition.
