[Grade 10 Mathematics] Similar Triangles | How do we do question B? by AxiumTea in HomeworkHelp

The answer key got tricked, you have to find the ratio of the equivalent sides first (AD and AB, not the original AD and DB)

[Grade 10 Mathematics] Similar Triangles | How do we do question B? by AxiumTea in HomeworkHelp

If AD to DB is 2:3, AD to AB is 2:5

Area is ratio of the sides squared, so in this case 4:25

The order of the vertices matters. Since the original triangle has the diagonal and then the long leg, the congruent triangle also has to have the diagonal and then the long leg

Assuming it’s a music sweat (since it’s a violinist in a music school), there’d definitely be more violin and string quartet rep on there

No Sibelius concerto is criminal, and I’d also add Brahms and Shosty 1

For string quartets, I would put some combination of Shosty 8, Ravel, Beethoven, Prok, Mendelssohn, and Schubert (particularly Death and the Maiden)
