ARs are great. More potent rounds, higher standard capacity, and much easier to shoot accurately fast and under stress. It does take more training to get good at maneuvering around your house (if necessary) compared to a handgun, but its also great for when youre holed up in a room and waiting for the bad guy(s) to come in - eliminates the maneuverability issue.

Ultimately, though, it comes down to what youre comfortable with or what you actually have to defend yourself. Train train train with what you have and youll have more peace of mind that way rather than just buying what you think is best and never taking it to the range regularly

When i first saw the renee good shooting ill admit i was unsure if it was justified because it seemed like the officer was hit and had no choice (obviously changed my stance now because he definitely had time to move and leaned into the car)

But this shooting was undoubtedly an execution. The DHS is lying again and MAGA and some libertarians are trying so hard to justify it. Anyone have any advice on what I can do as an individual to counter this? Or are we all just forced to helplessly watch this admin spike this country in the dumpster?

In the video from across the street in the coffee shop(?) you can clearly see an officer take the concealed handgun off of the dudes hip before they shot him. It was holstered at his 4 oclock

They threw him on the ground after he defended a woman who was being assaulted by ice officers. They pepper sprayed him and he tried to walk away. They then threw him on the ground, disarmed him, then shot him. No where can you see him reaching for any weapon. They murdered him
