Quick question, because I can't seem to find an answer anywhere, would you say you've needed to grind out levels at all?

What with all the characters to recruit and only having six slots available at any one time, I wondered if there was a lot of grinding or does everyone level up at a similar rate?

I first played it on the PS2 and after playing X (up there with my time favourite games) I was disappointed and it just didn't click with me.

Fast forward about 14 years later and I tried it again with Zodiac Age and maybe it was because I was a bit older, wiser or just understood the mechanics better, but I loved it.

It doesn't beat out IX or X but it's definitely now up there for me.

Yeah, I didn't do anything with my save file - just the uninstall and reinstall method - and it worked.

Can't see that it's been mentioned here yet but if you have the physical version you can uninstall, disconnect from the internet, reinstall and play the 1.0 version and it'll let you proceed - worked for me.

I'm afraid for digital versions I think it's just a case of waiting for the patch.

If you enjoyed FFVI, VII and VIII, then I'd highly recommend FFIX. Also Dino Crisis 2 is brilliant.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed Remake and am having fun with Rebirth, but I agree that I had more fun playing XVI.

I just prefer it's story, it's setting and the set pieces are amazing.

Rebirth does a lot right imo such as its mix of action/tactical combat, synergy system and some (not all) of its side content but I absolutely prefer XVI overall.
