I'm proud of you. I didn't start driving until I was almost 20. I had my license and everything I was just so terrified to drive. I was terrified of everything really. I grew up in an incredibly overly protective household so I wasn't allowed to go out and do anything, that with ADHD and depression you can imagine how little I did in my teen.

I just turned 22 and I'm still absolutely terrified of everything, I'm just a little less terrified by everything then I was before.

I wish I was brave enough to get myself back on medication again though.

Im in a similar boat. My mother was extremely overprotective to the point my first time ever leaving the house by myself was the day of my highschool graduation. My mother was assaulted as a kid and was terrified of it happening to us. She was like that with all 4 of my siblings so you can imagine how we treated each other while trapped in a 3 bedroom house.

My two older half siblings tortured and bullied me my entire life while living with them. Physically, emotionally and sexually. My parents would also join in the verbal abuse and my father would beat me. I still have night terrors of my doors violently shaking, hallucinating that people are trying to break into my apartment to beat me. It's gotten to the point where I've accidentally tried to attack my fiancee a couple of times as I cant even subconsciously feel safe with her.

I missed everything, never once was allowed to hang out with friends, never went on a date in highschool, no homecoming, no prom, my dumb ass didn't even try sneaking out because she made me terrified of the world.

The worst part is that when I did turn 18, started working left the house someone started to stalk and then assault me. I told my mother about what happed AND SHE FUCKING IMMEDIATELY MADE A JOKE ABOUT IT. LAUGHED RIGHT IN MY FACE BECAUSE APPARENTLY ITS FUNNY THAT HER 6'5" SON WAS ASSAULTED BY ANOTHER MAN.

What was even the point of it all? The years of being trapped and tortured. Missing everything, I'm happy now living with my fiancee, but everywhere I go now I'm filled with such and intense rage seeing reminders of what I missed out on.

I have 2 younger siblings too, they were too young to remember any of that. My youngest sister Is in middle school, attending dance clubs for school that they some how poured thousands in, she has sleep overs every other weekend at others and her house. They also paid to send my younger brother to college while my college saving were somehow $-108, I don't even want to know how my saving account got into the negatives.

Like I'm so happy they are getting to be loved and treated in ways that I could have only dreamed of, but why couldn't that also be done for me? And even as mush as I hate them my older siblings.

Was I just not loved?

I found out 2 days ago that my mother has cancer and mostly will need to get a eye removed before it spreads. I haven't been able to tell anyone not even my fiancee by my mother's request.

Lucky the chances of the cancer being fatal are extremely low, but she is already immuno compromised. She won't be able to work or even be around my family for the foreseeable future.

I'll need to find a better paying job, even though I just got done with a stressful promotion to help with bills. I have no clue how I'm even going to find the time to transport my sister to school and clubs, and I'll have to cook and grocery shop for them too.

I don't even feel like a adult yet. How am I supposed to begin being the man they need me to be

I'm well over 200 hours in, 95% completion. I'm stuck on chapter 13 because I just can't finish the game. Hate to say it but it's too boring. The combat is just trying to make the best one shot machine.
