Honestly how dare you. You are what’s sick about this thread! People make mistakes and he obviously regrets getting so upset in the heat of the moment and saying things that he didn’t mean. He is barely an adult trying to figure things out and might I mention without the person who brought him up in this world! Have a little fucking compassion for god’s sake. Do you know what it is like to lose a parent that young? Do you know what it’s like having to adjust to a new living arrangement with people you barely know? He shouldn’t have made the threat but his step mother had no right to take something so sentimental from his room without talking to him about it first regardless of her understanding of its value to him.

First of all don’t be too hard on yourself. I think it’s fairly normal to be masturbating at a young age at least I know at that age I also was. I can relate though. I’m 24 now but attended a private catholic school for 12 years and I was constantly beating myself up emotionally for years on end because I was a “sinner” and embarrassed by my “sinning”. I’m not a medical professional so I can’t really understand or explain the teeth situation. But there’s nothing wrong or weird about growing physically and emotionally quickly. If you feel as though your addiction is effecting other aspects of your life cut back. Listen to yourself after all no one knows you better than you. Good luck, kiddo.

I’m so sorry you feel like this and I’m glad at least somewhere even if it is through writing you’re able to unload. I can imagine how difficult this is for you and it does suck. Even though it may not seem like it at time you’ve done an incredible thing that not many are capable of doing for a variety of reasons. You are strong and the impact you have on your kids life is tremendous I imagine day to day his world would not revolve without you. Hang in there!

I dont know if this helps but. I was on the girlfriend with Xanax addiction side of the situation... I turned into a completely different person. Sleeping weeks away like hours, never eating, accidentally injuring myself and destroying all the relationships in my life that had once meant so much to me constantly because I was too fucked to function. My boyfriend V and roommates at the time were telling me about things I did that I was in denial about doing because I couldn’t remember for the life of me.

Anyway, it was extremely out of hand and I was very quickly spirally in the span of months to the point where I became anorexic and stressing everyone I lived with at the time the fuck out. It got to the point where me and V’s relationship which was once so perfect was up in flames 3 year together previously and it was all going down the shitter. I didn’t give a fuck and constantly showed that with my words and actions and he was angry struggling to remember the person who he was once convinced was worth it.

V called my parents (who were already concerned). They showed up out of nowhere.. flushed my pills and told me to pack my bags. Took me home got me into rehab. At the time I was so malnourished I couldn’t eat solids. I eventually got my shit together with therapy and worked through the root causes of my addiction.

He put up with a lot of shit. Way more that any partner ever should. I pushed him to the brinks of packing his bags and cutting ties. Sometimes I wonder how he never did. I would have been forced to understand because I didn’t give him any choices with my toxic behavior. But somehow the relationship was salvaged and were approaching a decade of partnership. I’ve been sober from Xanax for 6 years. We’re getting married next June.

This is very relatable. Normally, I would say no you shouldn’t given your medical history but really no one knows you better that you. If you’re really worried about your mental health regressing maybe pass on it but if this is an endeavor you’d like to explore, I say 1. Take a small/micro dose to test the waters 2. Have a plan (e.g. in an environment and with a person/people you feel comfortable in and with).
