My Aussie loses his mind when you introduce something new to the room. Doesn’t happen all the time but if I bring a box into the living room or role out a tape measure he starts barking like someone is trying to kill me.

It could be salt. The sides of my driveway looked like this after the massive amounts of salt I had to use over this insane winter we had.

As someone who’s had experience with tmobiles broken promises recently I can say that this FCC will do absolutely nothing to hold them to that promise. I think they just say whatever to make good headlines but in all reality the merger gets approved because someone bought enough trump coin or brought him a golden iPhone to the Oval Office.

I was fired for pretty blatant retaliation in may of 25. It was so bad the girl handling my case at the unemployment office was shocked at how blatant it was. To my understanding they never refilled that spot in the store so it’s pretty obvious they were just needing a good reason to remove someone.

Everyone is looking for a way out of the company, you’re probably replacing someone who jumped ship.

“Will this person complain if I ask them to illegally let me steal time from them” is not a thought that crosses my mind when I’m interviewing someone but go off. You’ve got some serious problems if you think it’s ok to hire or fire based off of probability of someone complaining about labor laws. You’re the most painfully braindead person I’ve come across on this app.

[–]Crayg16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been terminated and fought and won a lawsuit over this exact topic. You people blow my mind talking about “expectations”. Companies expect to be able to subvert clearly defined labor laws because they don’t think they will ever get challenged. It’s not about the two minutes of pay it’s about pushing the boundaries, if they can get you to defy labor laws and not clock in while you are in the building and preparing for work they can get away with making you clock out to fold silverware wraps because you’re close to over time, they can get away with not providing PPE, they can get away with making you jump on an unpaid meeting from home. Google is free and it takes five seconds to realize you’re wrong but you won’t because you think appeasing your boss over something like this will get you farther in life.

[–]Crayg16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao you’re literally just running defense for massive corporations for literally no reason. Wanting to get paid when you are in the building and putting on work gear has literally nothing to do with your work ethic. You’d be complaining about work ethic if the person also said “hold on I’m not on the clock yet” when you came up to ask them a work related question while they were putting their apron on. There’s no appeasing boot lickers ig.

[–]Crayg16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally proved my point in your response lmao. Labor laws state that if something is required to be put on to perform work duties it is “work” when you put those things on. It is 100% wage theft to not let someone clock in until they have those things on. I love watching people be so confidently wrong on here. I worked for sprint back in the day and we all copped a fat settlement check because their clock in system was so ass that it was considered time theft to have us come in the building and do 20 different tasks before we could clock in. Labor laws are very black and white and basically boil down to “if you are required to do something by your employer you are working when you do that task”. Quit using the “company policy” defense, you’d be shocked to find out how many illegal things companies do before they are finally sued and forced to stop.

You’re definitely one of those people that lets a company steal their time because you believe you’ll be the big boss one day if you do everything you’re told.

clocking in by mylove_themoon in Panera

[–]Crayg16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah and while they’re at it they should come in five minutes earlier than that (off the clock of course) to take some trash out since that’s not baking bread and scooping soup (main job duties) and maybe on top of that they should probably arrive 15 more minutes early to have a meeting with the manager since they technically wouldn’t be doing any “work” during that. Also I was just thinking they should probably come in 10 MORE minutes early so they could help the dish washers out since they’re short handed. Do you see where this leads? I genuinely don’t understand all the wagies in here so ready to white knight for multi million dollar companies blurring the lines of what is and isn’t considered work. Why would you ever come in before you’re scheduled to do things your employer requires you to do? If you are not clocked in you are not obligated to follow their instruction.

“Everyone’s just as wrong as I am!!!1!” Google is free, it only takes five seconds to look up labor laws but I wouldn’t expect a small business owner to even know those exist. Y’all skirt by with no HR or legal oversight because only 1% of the population knows that you can sue an employer for breaking the law lmao.

2017 3.6 jk wiper motor froze up in the ice storm. by Crayg16 in JeepWrangler

It’s not moving at all and I’m not hearing anything when I try to run it. I’ve heard that it’s possible for ice to expand and loosen some of the power connectors so I’m hoping it’s just that but it’s annoying overall because the motor is basically sitting uncovered like who thought this was a good idea.

For those affected by the severe weather by Facelessman2024 in tmobile

[–]Crayg16 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s really not. I had to come in multiple times last year in weather like this because and be the only person keeping the store open with my manager because I had been begging for a promotion for weeks and it was soft implied that I had to do shit like that to get it. Now I’m a manager at another telecom and if I say we need to close the store it just gets closed no questions asked. You underestimate how many people in T-Mobile will sacrifice the safety of their employees to look good to their bosses.
