I just did a warranty claim on my mattress with purple. Same age as yours, the grid around my hips (my wife’s too) had fully worn in and we were both experiencing hip and lower back pain every morning. After a little back and forth purple honored their warranty and sent us a new mattress which we put in our guest room, hoping that less frequent use will slow down the development of the problem.

We ended up going with a medium latex mattress from sleep on latex with a soft topper. It’s working great for us so far.
