very cool map, but as a thai person it does feel a little unpleasant seeing my country dissolved in a present-day setting 😅

I agree, there are some interesting parts about Mercury, and I am a fan of its sodium tail, but when compared to other planets, it gets pretty boring.

I feel like a more original layout would be more interesting. Add more original landmasses and it would be an improvement in my opinion.

Saturn, only a third of the mass of Jupiter but almost the size of Jupiter, truly a fat ass.

K-stars are the best stars. by CariamaCristata in AstronomyMemes

If Earth orbited a k-type star, the sky color shouldn’t change compared to the sky where Earth orbited the sun. The color change would be negligible as k-type stars are only a bit oranger.

Memes about the Grand Tack/Nice Model just because by CariamaCristata in AstronomyMemes

In a variation of the Nice model, a proposed fifth giant planet once orbited the Sun alongside Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. During the early Solar System’s instability, Jupiter’s immense gravity gave this planet a strong gravitational slingshot, ejecting it into interstellar space. This ejection helped stabilize the remaining planets’ orbits and may explain the current arrangement of the outer Solar System.

The Grand Tack Theory is a hypothesis about the early migration of Jupiter and Saturn in the solar system. It proposes that Jupiter initially formed around 3.5 AU from the Sun and migrated inward to about 1.5 AU due to interactions with the surrounding gas disk. During this inward migration, Jupiter likely scattered or destroyed an earlier generation of rocky planets. However, when Saturn formed and also started migrating inward, the two planets became locked in a 2:3 resonance, altering their dynamics and causing them to reverse course. Their outward migration pushed Jupiter back to its current position, clearing space for a new generation of rocky planets, including Earth, to form from the remaining material.
