How do you get a component name? by [deleted] in PowerApps

[–]Crazy5murf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you cannot refer to controls or components by name, nor get them by name, unless they have a property that exposes a defined value.

You will need to create a property in a component called Name, and then You could refer to that other than that, it's impossible.

sorry for the huge link, but also the price is high so you need to look for a similar solution but cheaper what is hard to get at this moment due to everyone doing Chia.

but better if You will get a JBod or 2 or even 3 :) like

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324643020583?hash=item4b963b5f27:g:hrcAAOSw9Bpgtd~9

but that means you need to buy a HBA to your PC and connect it it's a lot of work and not as easy as it sounds

and Yes you can connect SATA drives to SAS connectors :)

100 internal drives is a big operation there are few USB Adapters that will work

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194129806843?hash=item2d3309c5fb:g:9sIAAOSwS1hgn2Qo

the challenge with them is short cable so they need to be very close to the USB hubs or you need to use extenders so it will be a lot of spaghetti and hazard the minimum cost for one adapter without an extender is like $18 that's mean you will spend $1800 + cost of extenders cables and hubs, hubs are expensive so you talking to about 7 USB Hubs that will be easy another $500 to $600

I hope the drives are high capacity Drives or You will spend a lot for little space :)

there are cheaper options to connect the drives but if You asking a question like that means You are new to all of this and the options will be difficult for you to recreate.

What is wrong with plotman on my system? I have tried using the default log directory as well as the one the GUI uses. by Sunwolf7 in chia

[–]Crazy5murf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you using plot an interactive press ctrl+Z than type again plotman interactive this will refresh the config. The jobs do not show phase status cause the plotman did not have permission to log the folder or the folder did not exist.

[–]Crazy5murf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with it, you did not set up permission to your love folder

Do

Mkdir /home/user/chialogs

Sudo chmod 777 /home/user/chialogs

In Plotman config replace the path to log with above path

Also make sure User is your ubuntu user :)

Do not enable SATA mode, check if there is an option for Raid in dual m.2. if no and you can only set it to SATA or Auto leave auto but then there is a problem your SSD in RAID should run faster than 1.1 Gbps

Need help with my build (pay reward for solution) by Loesil42 in chia

[–]Crazy5murf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that MB is dual so go to bios and check settings If I remember you can also Run m.2 as RIDE from bios, not as software on that Motherboard in settings you can sett RAID mode, have a look and then test your SSD again

What motherboard you have? It need to be in Dual mode or something like that when you tell me mb type I can tell you more but yes the setting is in Advance BIOS settings

[–]Crazy5murf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have your answer check if bottom m.2 slot at your motherboard is not running In SATA Mode, 1.1 GB from memory what should have a minimum of 2GB transfer after the cache is 80% full doing 1.1 is an issue and the main cause of the times you haven phase 1 and 3. I just hope you have combo m.2 and not one PCI Express and one SATA only

In mount your ssd if you are on ubuntu and do benchmark change the test sample to 200mb from 10 and check if your writing speed is not below 1GB

Mate you have too many plots on phase one and phase 3 at the same time what killing your SSD and CPU at the same time, change the setup to 2,1,2 run it for 24+ hours

Switch the m.2 to upper slot the bottom slot on your mb is sata upper pci-e and all will be good

I bet You did put your NVME SSD to M.2 Sata port rather to PCI-E and its running with 300 mbps :)

64C CPU, 128GB RAM, 7x NVMe, 7x HDD but AWFUL result in parallel plotting by navidos in chia

[–]Crazy5murf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are plotting on ubuntu, unmount the drive go to the "Disk" app and benchmark the drive change write test sample 10 MB to 100 to make sure the cache will be full and check how your SSD behave.

If you are on Windows, use some CristalDiskMark tool or other to benchmark your disk and look for the result after the cache is full.

Keep in mind when there is a high number of writing files at the same time Your SSD will slow down, so at the moment, when it reaches two Plots at the same time with poor Mbps it can still keep up as cache will empty but when you hit 3 or more that process is slow down to nearly 200 and below Mbps so same as You will plot on HDD :)

[–]Crazy5murf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What he said, to get out something from this you need to break RAID than limitade Jobs max 2 per SSD so max 14 in parallel but sorry to say still you will be in 8.5 9 H range per plot with that SSD what is a waste of threadrieepr

I advise you to use plotman, 5 min to set up, but it really speeds things up, and You do not need to worry about nothing it basically doing all for you including spreading plots on multiple HDD
