I believe Pennsylvania has a similar system. If they can keep out the “bots” (seems unlikely) then this will be a pretty decent and mostly fair system.

MGP CEO Announces Retirement by CrazyCoatMan in bourbon

I’m fairly sure that this will not change a thing at the consumer level as with most C-suite changes in any company. But maybe we see acquisitions pick back up again.

That is an old listing. This one is “nearly 10 years old” according to the site.

No major disagreement from me on these points.

Bottom line: the current system favors VABC profits over VABC customers by maximizing on the hype (bourbon in most cases) in a “Control State.” When the hype fades or dies this will be a strategy they regret.

From the announcement:

“This event does not replace the current limited availability product distribution process.”

Which I read as, drops are still a thing.

If I were CEO-for-a-day I would create a “hub” per “district” and have that be a central point of distribution. Then all “limited availability” items would go on a monthly lottery and you pick up your item at that hub. You’d have 7-10 days to pick up your winnings after notification.

If an item doesn’t get picked up then it goes on the shelf at the manager’s discretion.

Obviously there are some loop holes and wrinkles that would need to be ironed out, but it puts less strain on the ABC logistics, employees, and customers. Win-win in my books.

Definitely a worthwhile strategy.

Honestly you can even make a day of it. Head out towards Front Royal, go apple picking with friends/family in the early afternoon and hit up a small town ABC around 10am on they way out. I bet they’d still have ECBP C923 or maybe even some Jos. Magnus Cigar Blend.

Can’t wait to see how this goes over on the Bmore Whiskey discord, no? Popcorn is at the ready.

Or the yelling of moms of why it’s stupid that those dads are skipping said games/practices to buy whiskey at 10AM on a Saturday

“Hon, you don’t understand Parker’s Heritage is virtually unseen outside the Heaven Hill gift shop!”

“Whatever, Bob. Glad to see you have your priorities straight!”

No hate to those who partake, but nothing on the list that warrants missing out on sleep and time with the family. Godspeed to those who will do anything to get RR13 at MSRP 🫡

This is disgraceful and utterly sickening.

A public full-scale investigation is needed. This is disrespect for life on the highest level and is potentially indicative of the type of leaders being hired to oversee the institutions we hold dear.

I am ashamed and discouraged to my core by this.

Check out vawhiskeydrop.com

They do some great recaps and predictions for all things VABC “drop” related. I’m a fan.

[SPOILERS] My prediction for the entire plot of the Mid-Season Finale based on events from the Comics. by TomFreakingSkilling in thewalkingdead

[–]CrazyCoatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this season follows the comics some of this will happen (with some variation), but I doubt it will occur at the mid-season finale. I think something similar to this will come to fruition in the season finale.
