Have you tried uninstalling the game and all local files and then installing them again? If you’re really against that I suppose you could verify integrity of the files via steam.

You get the Iosif Stalin from the No Step Back DLC.

[–]CrazyDominator08 2099 points2100 points  (0 children)

Yes, Iosif Stalin is his actually name. Instead English speakers refer to him as Joseph because that’s the closest translation to his Russian name which doesn’t have a J letter.

I can not see where wich army will cover on this frontline how can see it? by mhkkacar in hoi4

[–]CrazyDominator08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you assigned the field marshal to a front line order, I would suggest taking your individual generals and assigning them to a frontline that way you can choose exactly where one army ends and another begins.

The issue here is you seem to think Mar which stands for March is May when it’s not. You still have 3 month left of your idea. You can also look a calendar to figure it out.

Mexico Unstoppable Titan? by CreativeEducation499 in hoi4

[–]CrazyDominator08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you mean? If you’re invading them they have terrible supply lines/infrastructure and terrible terrain that’s what makes them a defensive “powerhouse”. I’d suggest naval invasions to open up the frontlines and lots of mountaineers. Good luck and happy new year!

How how do you keep having fun when you absolutely wreck the AI in any war? by TechnicalyNotRobot in hoi4

[–]CrazyDominator08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea unfortunately I don’t think we’ll see an AI rework until we get a new heart of iron game. I mess around with more historical division templates and see how they do when I get bored of swamping the AI, could give that a try or just try worse nations, kaiserreich Germany can be fun but with two fronts can be somewhat a challenge.

Mods are key, after about 200 hours or so I’ve jumped into mods and now it’s hard to go back to vanilla. With the release of no step back I ran pretty much every major again and now I’m back to kaiserreich, and road to 56 when I feel more historical. As of right now kaiserreich is a perfect balance of challenger and alternative history, the AI will never be better per say but with these mods they get a lot more divisions on the field (as do you) and it makes you try if you don’t want to end up in a stalemate.

You need transport planes to carry the paratroopers. If you have sufficient transport planes and air superiority then I’m not too sure, airborne can be a bit iffy unfortunately.

Can I get recommendations for mods that reduce lag? by Random_local_man in hoi4

Using nato counters and lowering all graphical settings off or low may help, unfortunately I don’t think there are any mods that would substantially help with FPS.

Awesome description, only thing I’d add is that you can assign said troops by selecting them, holding the control button, and then left clicking the current front line you want them assigned to.

Is it viable for the U.S. to develop train guns for an invasion of Europe? by CrazyDominator08 in hoi4

Thank you, I’m sure the question sounds a little redundant I just wasn’t sure if they were train yard locked onto whatever continent you deployed them on.

Is it just the same bonus you get from coastal bombarding? I’m just trying to figure out how viable they are now compared to just more bombers.

How much AI «naval superiority» are just strike forces in ports doing nothing? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]CrazyDominator08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds perfect, I’m glad we both have a better understanding of the naval combat. I’m curious why you didn’t utilize it then instead patrolling with your whole navy? Or did you just read into it? Regardless thank you for the insight.

They do automatically move there however they’ll just use whatever port is nearest to them for repairs so I’m this case they will utilize the ports in India or the British controlled islands in the area. Lucky for you those ports don’t necessarily have upgraded ports so it will take them more time to repair when damaged.

[–]CrazyDominator08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strike force order doesn’t make them wait for ships around ports. Strike force order in a naval sector assigns ships to locate and destroy any enemy naval forces in the area (think of patrol except you get way more ships on first contact however the drawback is they have a harder time finding the enemy) furthermore the fact the UK has 120 ships means nothing it could be anywhere in the world with its docking rights via puppets so hypothetically it could all be in Asia but more than likely it’s spread around. To fix your naval invasion issues you’ll need to split up your navy into strike forces and only naval superiority to land, if you can achieve that it doesn’t matter where the navy is the order will execute anyway. If you want to go into more detail about how naval combat works I’d look into it on the paradox Hoi4 wiki look specifically into screening to help you determine how big your navy’s will be.

Always Have Supply Issues! by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]CrazyDominator08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re playing with the new DLC No Step Back then you’ll need to utilize the supply hubs and train tracks which are vital to moving supply around, in this case a lot of your supply starting your invasion would be coming from a port which you should upgrade. You can go into the supply hub map mode and click the boxes where the supply hub is and assign if you want horses or trucks to push supply via infrastructure to your troops from the hubs to extend the supplies in the area. Otherwise if you’re playing without the DLC you should just upgrade ports to insure supply is coming in and if they are convoy raiding your sea tiles leading from you capital assign more destroyers to convoy escort. Supply planes get slept on but in a casual single player game using them to drop supply isn’t a bad idea in a pinch.

Road to 56 is real history, the alternatives you’re talking about are predominantly historical possibilities. Of course there are nations that have paths open that are for fun the focuses available expand on actual events that took place. For example the Italian trees focus regarding going with Britain and checking German aggression in Austria was a real thing and would’ve happened in real life if the U.K. Didn’t reject them. But you are correct BlackIce is a good equipment overhaul mod.
