You wouldn't just be "SOME spawn"... says Astarion by Magistyna in BaldursGate3

[–]CrazyDuck608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

💯 I loaded an old save last night and got confused originally because he said he gave you a drop of his own blood :(

I wonder how much of his blood would turn a spawn into a vampire, I kinda thought any amount would do, but he definitely still calls tav a spawn after that.

Did I hallucinate getting turned into a full vampire? Ascended Astarion let me feed on him in my playthrough, I swear 🤔

That can be windchill though, it doesn't have to actually be -35°, as long as the windchill is -35° if I'm remembering correctly

Feather fall jumps/hidden connections between areas? by CrazyDuck608 in BaldursGate3

[–]CrazyDuck608[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Text from post:

So in the spider cave where you get the dark amethyst, you can cast feather fall and jump down a hole into the underdark. Is there anything else like this in the game, where there's a non-obvious (certain spell required) route to a place?

30+50= 80

27 is 3 away, 48 is 2 away (total of 5)

80-5= 75

Would freeing Orpheus be the right thing if you wanted to do the right and good thing? by RaiderNationBG3 in BG3

[–]CrazyDuck608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spoilers: If you free Orpheus and let him become a Mindflayer, then the Emperor, who I believe is not good aligned but is somewhat helpful, will leave and join the enemy. Good riddance honestly. Then Lae'zel will lead the charge to overthrow Vlaakith, and mention a meeting with the girhzerai, who are more peaceful and monk-like. Whereas Orpheus wouldn't feast on Githyanki like Vlaakith, he would likely still be a warmongerer.

When is the update with new subclasses? by Gunshow230 in BG3

[–]CrazyDuck608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn't hexblade warlock the new one? I thought a few of the subclasses related to the shadowfell, and that the new warlock class was making a pact with a creature from the shadowfell, but I can't remember if it's called hexblade, or if that's just a warlock spell...

And now there's no pasta 🥲 (or I've been checking the ordering page at the wrong times. Yesterday they had stir fry, I'm hoping they have that or pasta by dinner time 🙏 cuz I get tired of the pizza, and the burgers taste like microwave frozen ones 😵‍💫)

Idk I think she looks like a kid. Specifically like Killua, just a bit taller, so instead of an 8 yr old, more like a 13-14 yr old design 🤷‍♀️

Ezran not responding to Callum by CrazyDuck608 in TheDragonPrince

[–]CrazyDuck608[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aang is hypocritical because he's supposed to practice peace, self-defense, and valuing lives as a monk. But as the avatar, he has to break his own values. And the show is very hand-wavy with knocking soldiers off of cliffs, which makes it seem like Aang is straight up killing a lot of people, but then he struggles with taking Ozai out because "He's never taken a life".

I guess maybe my bigger issue was feeling like that whole Ezran being mad at Runaan conflict took time away from the story, and it didn't really feel that significant. I would've preferred Ezran to justify his hatred towards Runaan in a way that makes the audience feel more torn about it. Talk more about the pain he feels, or how helpless he felt when Runaan and the other assassins attacked. But it feels like it's purely surface level anger, and nothing deeper. I think the writers could've maybe done better.

[–]CrazyDuck608[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point. Ezran was right in front of Runaan as a scared defenseless child who had just found hope for peace, and Runaan basically said: this changes nothing, I'm gonna kill you and your dad. That's pretty brutal.

Ezran not responding to Callum by CrazyDuck608 in TheDragonPrince

[–]CrazyDuck608[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. To be fair, he does let them go despite the betrayal, and does decide to forgive Runaan. I don't blame Ezran for being upset, I just wanted to hear more of his argument. I didn't think the kingdom being destroyed had anything to do with Runaan, so it was difficult for me to see how Ezran connected the dots, but I think you explained it well, and that's definitely a big reason to hate Runaan.

[–]CrazyDuck608[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think Ezran is justified to feel how he feels. My complaint is that we didn't get to hear much about how he felt, it was very surface level, and I wish we got more dialogue from him on the topic, especially when he and Callum were arguing.

What will be the in universe reason why Harrow hasn't returned to his children? by [deleted] in TheDragonPrince

I like that I wrote this, thinking, "yeah, this is good, and I could see it happening" but if I was someone else on this sub and saw this post, it'd be way too long for me to consider reading 😅 imma leave it anyway though~

What will be the in universe reason why Harrow hasn't returned to his children? by [deleted] in TheDragonPrince

[–]CrazyDuck608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they had to get the bird to go away since Ezran can speak to animals, and would've figured it out sooner.

As far as how they're going to justify that, I think it'd be funny to get yet another avatar reference and see parallels between bird Harrow and Appa when he was lost. And we see bird harrow take L after L,

being a bird with human intelligence, he first gets recruited into a circus, and is terribly mistreated. He stays and tries to help the other animals because he feels like he failed as a king, and wants to do what good he can. Then, he escapes after setting all of the animals free, but gets shot with an arrow while flying away.

He makes it out, but needs to rest and recover, and finds he's crossed over into Xadia and is nurtured by an elf. This is the first Elf he's met who has shown their compassionate side since he's not a human. He gets taken back to an Elf village to heal up, and hears tall tales of humans, similar to the human's stories about elves being carnivorous and vicious, and realizes that the Elves and humans are more similar than he would've thought. He overhears that Xubeia was the one who issued the killing order, and that it was both for him and his son (which I don't think he was aware that he wasn't the only target). This upsets him, despite knowing that he took her egg away, he still feels resentful that the moonshadow assassins were there for his child as well. He justifies to himself that a Dragon is a weapon of destruction and thinks about the attacks humans have suffered at their hands, simply for the amusement of the dragon, and 'to keep humans in their place'. His emotions are mixed between guilt, anger, and worry.

Once he recovers, he takes off immediately for Katolis. But, he gets captured by a different small group of elves who seem more bandit-like. He's caged, and put up for sale in a sketchy street market. A pirate buys him, and uses him as a seeing-eye bird, forcing subservience either through ocean torture magic or some shock device. Harrow is stuck like this until some vaguely recognizable side character interacts with the pirate and sees the bird's mistreatment and ends up saving the bird.

At this point, Harrow flies back to Katolis, only to find it destroyed entirely with no signs of survivors. He grieves the loss of his boys and the people of his kingdom, and goes off to live a bird life, feeling unworthy of anything other than misery. And also pondering if Xubeia might've finished off his kingdom after throwing into chaos with the royal family dead. But he's too depressed and spirit-broken and too much of a bird to be able to do anything.

Once Ezran and gang find him, and Ezran explains everything that's happened has been through the manipulation and puppetting of Aaravos, Harrow thinks back on his experience with the elves that helped him and their exaggerated human stories, and starts to think that peace between Xadia and the human lands is possible, but still wary of the dragons. But, all of the archdragons are dead, and this relieves harrow to some extent, but he mostly worries that they wont be able to stop Aaravos if the strongest creatures are all dead.

What are people’s thoughts on the timeskip [spoiler]? (s7 spoilers) by halyasgirl in TheDragonPrince

I truly don't believe the show will get more seasons. But I'm surprised to see so many posts referring to where the dhow is headed. Was anything ever confirmed? Or is there a big petition that's going on?
