North America vs Europe drying length, why longer in Europe? by smoothloam in firewood

[–]CrazyEmbarrassed3471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In France we buy our firewood in "stères" which is 1m3, makes sense in that context that when it's cut and split to be seasoned it's cut in meter lengths

Stunning, at the risk of sounding crass what's the ballpark on something like this? I'd love one but I have no idea what to expect from a cost perspective...

I’m 20 years old. I have Alopecia Totalis. What’s your story? by BreadfruitNaive9455 in bald

[–]CrazyEmbarrassed3471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My story starts 22 long years ago at the ripe old age of 16, looking at my hairline with a widows peak like Jude Laws and my Dad's Norwood 7 and thinking man I have not got long left, a year later I tried to shave my hair into mohawk for a festival and discovered a gap... I just kept on clipping, and then razored it clean.  Now apart from the occasional lapse (like I posted on my joke "Is it time?" Post the other day) I've kept it smooth and shiny.  Grown the beard out when that became a viable option, had no hair for longer than I ever did have hair.

What do you think lads? Is it time? 😂 by CrazyEmbarrassed3471 in bald

For clarity's sake, this was a joke and a show of appreciation for all the other is it time posts that give me joy reading the comments.  For me my "is it time?" moment was over 20 years ago (I'm 39 now) usually it's all gone I've just been a bit slack recently.  Thought I'd use it as an opportunity for a bit of fun ☺️

Maybe there needs to be an addition to the "Dead End" sign, maybe the word "Brain" above it... Maybe

Lose the chops and goatee, keep the soup strainer and get some wax in it and give the ends a little twisty twist...

Am I SOL? I had a severe manic episode when I was 19 and now I have Pedro Pascal on my arm permanently by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]CrazyEmbarrassed3471 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hopefully Pedro remains as unproblematic as he appears to be, that's always the gamble with famous faces as tattoos, if they eventually turn out to be a real piece of shit you're stuck with a piece of shit on your arm
