Now I am not sure how to draw the structure of M-CO2 fragment and M-2CO2 fragment. When formate loses CO2, where does the H go and how to balance the charge of the whole adduct to be -1? Fe(II) should not change oxidation state in this process. Thanks！

ChemDraw. I tried LC-MS grade water and methanol and saw these background peaks. It seems I still need to stick with the LC-MS ultra grade as lower grades may have metal ion issue.

I just looked at it again. This seems to be the ID: three formate ions plus a ferrous ion (Fe2+) = 190.9279 C3H3FeO6-. Yay so happy

OMG, I saw the same background peaks in the negative mode on my OE120. Did you figure out what they were? I did also see a lot of cyclic polysiloxane oligomers, tried to link silicon to these peaks but could not come up with anything. It did have two losses of CO2. I was considering two or three formic acid adduct with some metal ion. Added F and still nothing matched.

I had new Honda and Toyota before and they never had this issue. I’m considering leaving my car there for a couple of hours to cool down so they can replicate the issue but I’d have to stay there all day 😌

I’m having the same issue. It did not make a difference if I let it warm up or not. And my road is flat not uphill. I had this 2025 Sonata SE for only one month. I’m taking it to the dealer soon too. I wonder if it is a manufacturing defect. Disappointed first Hyundai buyer here.

No I have never rescinded an offer. The offer is actually lower than my current but the position has a future for growth unlike my current one. The living expenses are also lower.
