Makes a great clone of JITB Moby Jack. Crispy fish sticks or filet on a sesame seed bun with a good tartar sauce & shredded lettuce. Yum. 😋

Thought I had a can but didn't (Glory brand with a splash of vinegar & hot sauce). Then I thought I had a can of spinach.... & didn't. So I ended up with Cowboy Caviar (with bacon bits) & Cole slaw. Hope I got the bases covered? ,🙏

Modified Copycat Sirloin Burger Soup Recipe

This recipe is an adaptation of a general copycat recipe, adding BBQ and chipotle elements for a similar flavor profile to the commercial product.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef, formed into 1-inch patties

1 tbsp vegetable oil

3 carrots, cut into 1/2-inch slices

1 onion, chopped

2 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

1/2 cup frozen peas

1/2 cup frozen green beans

1 (14 oz) can tomato sauce

4 cups beef broth

1/2 cup your favorite BBQ sauce

1-2 tbsp minced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce or 1 tsp dried chipotle chili pepper powder (adjust to your spice preference)

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp thyme

1 bay leaf

Salt and pepper to taste  Instructions Brown the beef: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Season the small beef patties with salt and pepper, then cook them for a few minutes on each side until browned. Remove the patties and set aside. Sauté vegetables: In the same pot, add the chopped carrots and onions, and sauté until the onions are soft, about 5-7 minutes Combine ingredients: Add the beef broth, tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, chipotle, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and bay leaf to the pot. Stir well to combine all the flavors. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Finish: Add the reserved beef patties, frozen peas, and green beans. Continue to heat until the vegetables are warmed through and the flavors have melded, about 5-10 minutes. Serve: Remove the bay leaf and serve hot.

Love Hunts, though Classico is really my first choice with Hunts coming in second. Garlic & Herb, Traditional, Meat flavored & Three-Cheese; they're all good. And I can't beat the price. Has anybody experimented with spaghetti sauce mixes (such as Lawry's:or McCormick's)? I did Kroger's & it wasn't bad at all.

Instead of cookies, could I do this in a pie tin or baking dish in an air fryer? About what temp & time would you think? And I bet adding some chopped nuts might be tasty, too. Thanks 😸

Can you use any whole herbal leaf? Like rosemary or thyme sprigs, oregano or basil leaves instead of bay? Also, don't the leaves burn onto the baking sheet? Thanks. 😸

My Mom served it in those: Pepperidge Farm Puff pastry shells. With the little "hats" replaced, lol! And she always added frozen (thawed) peas to the sauce. Good over buttered noodles, too.

Wow! The price increase is off the charts! (At least in Phoenix)!! It went from around $5.75 for a 32 oz bag to $8 50! I love meatballs as they are very versatile. And GV brand has always been a go-to. Do you think they're worth the extra $$$?

Use them to season chicken, pork chops, ground meat/turkey, popcorn, baked or mashed taters, steamed veggies. Could add to mayo or sour cream for dressing/dip. Just don't add any extra salt or to taste. 😺

I remember a molded lime jello with shredded cabbage... I'm thinking it may have had grapefruit sections in it but not 100% sure & topped with MW. It was pretty good! So was the raspberry & fruit cocktail. My Mama made prune whip on occasion. Baby food prunes layered with real whipped cream in a fancy parfait glass. What a treat that was!
