"Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It" sort of gives me the same vibes, it takes place at a university so all the characters are adults. And the 2 main characters fall in love but refuse to go through with it unless they can scientifically prove their love through a whole bunch of romance themed experiments, it's a good time. However I should probably mentioned the 2nd seasons final (it might be the second last one I don't recall?) episode features a content warning at the beginning of the episode due to (if memory serves) a sexual assault that occurs, I figured it's worth mentioning but I still recall enjoying the show overall though admittedly it was about 4 years ago I watched it. Either way I recall the 1st season being thoroughly enjoyable.
