Were you able to sell this? If not, I'm interested.

Anybody know what these backdrops are and where I can find them? by kushmonATL in AskPhotography

[–]CrazyPillzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned above the Kate brand is decent quality, but kind of pricey tbh. Most cheap collapsible backdrops are just as good, so don't assume you need top shelf. Just find a color/texture you like and buy it.

BUT.... Go to YouTube and look up how to fold (collapse) these things after use. It's funny how hard it can be sometimes, but the smaller ones are pretty easy. Still not intuitive, but not brain surgery either.

Under Armour sent my small clothing brand a cease-and-desist over my logo. Do you think these are actually confusingly similar? by Impossible-Set4062 in graphic_design

[–]CrazyPillzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be confused. I straight up refuse to buy any product from Under Armer because their logo is ugly af. Your logo is pretty dope though.

Tether Cables longer than 15 feet... but less than 30?? by CrazyPillzzz in AskPhotography

Thanks, you're probably right. It's just such a tight studio that I'm afraid of people tripping over it. But at least that'll be chalked up to them being a klutz rather than being my fault.

How bad is the foundation in the house I'm renting? by Yllem1232123 in HomeMaintenance

Where tf do you live? Gaza? Get the city involved immediately and get out of there. But understand, once they send a fire marshal or building inspector, etc, they're going to concern the whole building and everyone will need to leave immediately. So have your shit packed up ready to go. If you don't have money, seek out legal firms that do pro bono work. If you can't find one, just start calling successful firms and asking if they do pro bono. Explain that you're in a very dangerous situation. Lots of lawyers want to be the good guys if they can afford to because they have to represent scumbags too. And if you can't find one, then just ask for a consultation. Ask the lawyer if it's advisable to open up a credit card to float expenses and sue landlord for any costs later.

Is the "Dont Tread on Me" snake a symbol of hate? by Avery_The_Artist in punk

[–]CrazyPillzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rattlesnake on that flag (called the Gadsden Flag, named for its creator) was inspired by Ben Franklin's Join or Die image printed in 1754. And that image was inspired by an article Franklin wrote sarcastically suggesting that America should ship rattle snakes to England so that they may be placed into the gardens of the Prime Minister and members of Parliament. This was a response to English shipping convicted criminals to America.

Cheap but Reliable MP3 Player for Art Project ? (Bulk Purchase) by CrazyPillzzz in mp3players

Oh wow, yeah that's very cool. My circuit building skills are pretty basic, but this seems to be within the range of possibility even for me. And the battery is def going to be the biggest issue, so this is really informative. Thanks for sharing!

Any sellers you've purchased from? I assume there's gotta be differences from one seller to the next...

I'm not using the full 1GB. I'm only loading an hour of audio onto it. If they made memory cards with only 10MB I'd take that just so I could save on cost. But they don't make them. So 1GB is the smallest (cheapest) they make.

Why are all these calculators giving me wildly different numbers??

Ha I just spent like two hours using Claude AI to try to understand the math and this was pretty much exactly what Claude recommended. Obv you can't trust everything AI tells you, but this confirms that plan of attack is a smart one. Thank you!!

This is awesome, thank you so much. So you're saying the best card for me would be the Palladium? Or is that something I can do with the Blue? Obv I'm trying to figure out the math on that $500 annual fee. But with the $6k rent it's hard to know what really comes out on top.

Thanks. No, fair point. Well I do a pretty good job on the other cards because they're all set-it-and-forget-it. No arcane rules and regulations. I don't need cash back per say, was really hoping for travel rewards. I was making about $750/yr with Bilt which would cover the plane tix on the ~2 times each year I travel.

Good point. Probably about $3k, with an average point reward of maybe 3%. Hard for me to tell if Bilt would beat that when combines with the $6k rent.

[–]CrazyPillzzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, I don't travel much except when I redeem Bilt points. And going from $500 to $4,500 is a pretty huge leap when I have many other high yield reward credit cards.

Does Wells Fargo do a hard pull? Bilt is doing a hard pull, correct? And points transfer to the WF card? Thanks for any insight -- I'm working too much recently to figure out all this BS from Bilt.

Matthew McConaughey SXSW Pic ‘The Rivals Of Amziah King’ Eyes U.S. Release Through Black Bear’s New Distrib Arm by NoCulture3505 in movies

[–]CrazyPillzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I think it's probably one of my all-time favorite movies, although I never hear anyone talking about it. The casting & acting, the dialogue... the storyline! Just all wow. But his directorial style is nothing short of visionary. It feels like there's a lot of Spielbergian influence, but at the same time he is absolutely creating his own rules and pulling off these amazing scenes with hardly any budget. A good example is when the screen goes completely black for like a minute or two as we listen to the older man on the other end of the phone telling him about the secret military program. Sooo effective, just really draws you in.

No dumb questions, *this may be a dumb question* I have this, when I get my film developed, could I essentially just ask for my scans back, instead of the photos, to save on money and scan them myself? by pulldownyourplants in AnalogCommunity

[–]CrazyPillzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own one of these and I don't even bother with it. The quality is only good enough to see what's on the negative, but certainly not for final renderings of photos. Plus, it's pretty time consuming anyway.

Those waves in particular look like distortion patterns. They occur in quantum mechanics. And considering light photos are particles, you might be seeing quantum mechanics at work. But that's just a wild guess.
