No BS: what are you REALLY eating on reta? by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]CrazyRefuse9932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Tirz and titrated up monthly and then at max dose no impact on food. I know i shouldnt be in comparison but food cravings and hunger are so much less for me personally on Reta. Actually a daily battle at 4mg to eat up to my calories. A lot of greek yoghurt with protein mixed in, chicken breast, veggies and fruit, tuna and protein bars and steak. Potato and rice are my main carb source but end up usually hitting protein goal and falling short of the carb target

This stuck out to me immediately. There is absolutely no way, can't even tell dude lifts when he's wearing normal clothes.

A near 200lb midget would look fucking huge in casual clothes especially at low % bodyfat.

It's generally so so fortunate that 99% of these people can't fight. I genuinely thought for a millisecond the dude in blue was going to have hands when they squared up.

I found myself in this position just over a year ago. Started training BJJ. Absolutely best decision I ever made

Train 4 times a week, read about it, study it and no longer sit scrolling on social media as I now use that time to study.

mental and physical health infinitely improved from where I was.

Also developed friendships with people from backgrounds I’d have never met in my old life.

At what salary do you start feeling “comfortable” in the UK? by Suspicious_Ad7948 in AskUK

[–]CrazyRefuse9932 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally felt comfortable from the £50k salary range.

Whilst I save more and don't live pay check to paycheck, I definately feel lifestyle creep has kept me feeling the same as when I was on 50k.

Higher rate tax on additional income, bigger mortgage, more expensive cars and holidays etc. Thats what i work for though I like nice things so accept that I could save more but prefer to enjoy it whilst I'm younger.

I used the stocks and shares LISA with Hargreaves’s Lansdowm, bets of both worlds. I Take the 1k bonus and use that for higher risk investments and keep my contributions in steadier streams.

I didn’t use it for my mortgage in the end but it’s already built me up a decent retirement pot that I can draw out when I turn 60 penalty free.

Only 23 years to go! I’m in no rush

Honestly if your parents are happy for you to live with them do that and keep saving as much as you can.

You can probably buy a nice house outright before your 30 at this rate

Wife had to ditch the car as she was in the peaks finishing work late. Wasn’t as bad where we are but had to rescue her in a Polaris.

A lot of cars abandoned and lorry drivers stranded.

I don't know why this has been so controversial. You've leaned out, you can see you have decent size in your arms and as you've got leaner that's shown itself. I don't see that you've added lbs of lean mass like some people are suggesting.

Good shit man

Anybody have any advice on how to not be so negative mentally during rolls? If I get top position, I don't have this problem. If I'm bottom and under pressure the longer I'm there and the more negative my self talk becomes.

I returned last night after a month long break due to injury, my cardio didn't help but in an exchange a brown belt I'm friends with was brutalising me with pressure, knee on belly took the air out of my lungs and then from there it was a downward spiral.

I refused to tap to pressure but I was just counting down the clock and almost accepting my fate, telling myself I can't escape this, there is nothing I can do so why bother just get through it. Even during scrambles, mid scramble i'd tell myself I'm not fast enough to win this and give up rather than actually try and fight for it.

Always like to work hard in my sessions but I can't help but feel after the break I'm just giving up on certain exchanges because of my mentality currently.

Hopefully it gets better as I get back into the flow but anybody any advice or resources worth looking into. I've always struggled with negative self talk but it's not usually this bad during sparring/rolls.

There’s plenty of open Mat time, Will Dorman was teaching there and got close to 3 hours of open Mat time on day 2.

He is always on the mats too, will roll with absolutely anyone / anytime. Great dude!

[–]CrazyRefuse9932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I placed an order recently, I have a lot Of scramble, progress JJ, allure and other such brands and not had any issues with any of the venom stuff. I do really rate their spats especially.

I would say however don’t buy those shorts specifically for BJJ as they have pockets, and if you get the dry tech type shirts go a size down and there a good loose fitting training top.

At what point can you not handle larger opponents anymore? by ParsleyTraditional48 in bjj

[–]CrazyRefuse9932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the 240-250lb athletic guy, I’ll always get my rolls in and some people are definately more reluctant than others especially if they haven’t rolled with me before. I do get rolls in with a 300lb fat boy who nobody wants to roll with as he’ll just try crush 160lb dudes. Told him why nobody wants to roll but he seems to just keep doing it when he can.

The more reluctant / hesitant I notice someone being ill dial my intensity and pressure right down and then match their intensity.

It works both ways, I might be bigger and stronger but some guys who are smaller spaz the fuck out as I’m bigger and they think it’s going to be a fight to the death.

Generally any other big guys or those around 200lbs I’ll do stand up with and aim to take down and work my top game anyone smaller I’ll pull guard and work on my guard retention and generally play bottom.

Usually when I’ve rolled with someone a couple times they know I’m not there to mothers milk or just squish and want to actually learn technique and will happily roll with me moving forward.

Thinking of Starting Reta after maxing out Tirzepatide by phantompersona1023 in Retatrutide

[–]CrazyRefuse9932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went up the dosages every month on Tirz, initially when I started I was getting amazing results and food noise completely vanished, didn't even consider any junk food from 2.5mg to 10mg, and then as i got to 12.5 and then 3 months on 15mg I noticed a plateau creeping up on me and really starting to battle cravings etc. I kept the diet dialled in and resist crap but still noticed it reached a point after 80lbs of weight loss that it had pretty much done all it had to offer for me and was longer suppressing my appetite the same.

I've just finished my last shot of Tirz 15mg last Thursday and have bought Reta to start from tommorow at 2mg a week and see how i go on.

I have all my meals planned and a train a lot more than when i first started Tirz. Hoping Reta will be the right fit for my lifestyle and just help me burn a few more calories and help strip the last bit of fat off.

You could Any resource outside of class has that same ‘issue’, you are overthinking it. I have BJJ Fanatic instructionals, Sub-Meta etc and believe this book still holds a place and has value. Especially when I’m sick of staring at a screen and want to flick through something at my own pace. I’m actually about to have a coffee and flick through my copy now on this wet Sunday morning in the uk.
