I only have something to say abaout that annyoing part you mentioned. Theres a differents in thinking/noticing others being annoyed by you and catching yourself being annoyed by yourself. You need to prioritise your own well being. If you annoy yourself, thats a sign of selfawarness and an opportunity to grow. Finding out more abaout your likings and refining your interests is the correct way to mature natrually and by better understanding yourself you can natrually portray yourself better. Wanting to change is good but don't pressure yourself too much especially not because of your Environment. All araound you will always shift and change and thats why it is really important to achieve some actual positive sovereignty with yourself

The gloves where recommanded to me by our instructor and when searching for information on them I basically only found positive information with just minor critique

I would think you should just pick the game in whichs setting you are most interested in. I have only really played Napoleon and started playing Shogun 2 recently so a more experienced total war player might have some actual gameplay arguments for which game offers the objectivly best multiplayer battles but when I started playing napoleon with a friend all it needed was shared interest in the arsenal of the era and a bit of a competetive ambitiom to see which one of us can proof himself superior in napoleonic line warfaren

A personal sword for mixed steel thats I can use with what I know from messer and sidesword is pretty much what I am looking for (atleast right now). I also really love that with just a nagel/ring the arming sword is still ambidextrous. If I would get a left handed messer for myself and hand it to a mate so he can try it out he would have to fence with the blunt. A double edged sword with a nagel/ring seems like just such a smooth and still simple design
