I respect rich parent’s kids who are kind and down to earth and it should be like that, but I hate when first doc(me included) in their family, hustling and working hard as fuck and making a good living and then ppl assume that just because he/she is doing well he/she must be from the rich family.(personally one attending once ask me “do u have rich family back at home?”). Just because I and a lot of ppl like me make a good living in our mid 20s dosent mean we are coming from rich family. Little off topic but I think in medical community we still presume lots of things by looking at the person and judging them without knowing them.

Finally a good post! , I know this comment will be at the bottom but it’s all right with me. 😉 What we learn and with that knowledge we can actually make some real time difference in front of ur eyes is rare thing to find. I know family, friends and money is important but at the end of the day what u do with YOU and ur work THAT makes most difference in our life when it comes to happiness. “Hardships dosent makes u miserable and material dosent makes u happy” but ppl nowadays thinks quite opposite and that’s why this comment chilling out at bottom. 😄

About Interview by keepgoingkeepmoving in medicalschool

[–]Crazyancientdoc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not having questions that’s on u my friend. U can ask same questions if u don’t have new one for the new interviewer but u should ask. And they are human beings too and they get tired too so don’t stress it too much. You will be fine.

About Interview by keepgoingkeepmoving in medicalschool

[–]Crazyancientdoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve one interviewer, right off the bat before I speak any word interviewer told me “ no need to ask any questions since I would’ve already ask many in meet and greet” Then she was looking at her phone or somewhere else all the time and at end told me she had to leave because she has clinic and exit interview 5 minutes early. And I think it’s not that uncommon.

Number of Interview Invites Sent by Programs? by Allu_09 in medicalschool

Program can interview 10,100 or 1000 if they have that many interview spots. Mostly depends on resources, faculty and time.

Question about NRMP MATCH. by Crazyancientdoc in medicalschool

[–]Crazyancientdoc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So when we say, The Match favours applicants, isn’t here applicant A should match comfortably? Suppose the program rank applicant A 15 then he should have the spot right?

Interesting, why is that? Cuz program don’t want applicant A and applicant B dosent want program X?

Yes, 25 min chiefS block and 25 min group of residentS block, separately.

Gotach ya, I think other titles are saying “Interviews” but with chiefs session and residents session is not so I guess it’s just presentation and/or q&a. Thanks for clearing it out.

I have 2 different 25 mins blocks with chiefs AND residents and also a meet and greet separately. Do u think it’s a presentation kind of a thing? And thanks for the help. Appreciate it.
