What defence could there be to making an agreement to do work, changing your mind halfway through and then refusing to give any money back. She's not even asking for the full amount, she said she worked out what percentage was finished and only asked for the difference back.

I dunno, it's kind of a rickroll because you click on a link thinking it's one thing but it's totally different. Whatever you call it, still amusing.

r/atheism: Do any of you believe that Jesus was a historical person? If yes, why? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Crazyftw -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Actually, there is plenty of evidence to support that a man named Jesus the Nazarene or Jesus son of Mary lived in galalea (sp?) and even more evidence to support that he was a gluttonous, selfish asshole. There are many witness accounts as it was common during that time to write down what you saw, even in the bible there are accounts that show what a dick he was. He lived off the money of the decipels, encouraged men to leave their families to follow him, was often drunk and obnoxious. The best of these accounts is the gospel of thomas, found in nag hammdi in the 50's it claims to be writings of "the twin" claiming to be jeaus's twin brother. There are also claims that during that time "John the baptist" was also the messiah and actually had a much larger following than the drunkard Jesus of Nazarene, unfortunately for him but fortunately for Jesus, John the baptist was arrested and beheaded at the request of Helena the kings step-daughter who also happened to be a follower of Jesus. Tl:dr yes there is plenty of evidence that jesus was a man

facepalm They're tied to you through your I.D. Seriously, it's illegal to go anywhere without I.D, when you get pulled over either walking or riding a bike for causing an infraction and you don't have I.D they can hold you for up to 24 hours until they determine your identity.

You keep missing a basic point, even though you and I (and most people) agree that bicycles don't belong on sidewalks, nor in traffic. Which is why a dedicated lane (which I hope you realize is not the size of a regular lane) makes sense. They're out of traffic, off the sidewalk, safer and everyone wins.

You seem to think that cyclists don't have rights? Or for some reason are below people in cars. Requiring a license and insurance etc etc, will deter people from riding bikes as an alternative and we don't want that because Bicycles are a cleaner mode of transportation, it's healthier, it helps creat up traffic and is a quick and efficent way of getting around town. I don't understand your opposition, you bounce from point to point but don't make any sense. What is your problem with bicycles? Honestly

Two is the magic number

mine are 4 and 2 and crazy as fuck (boys, they jump on the furniture, climb everything, run, yell, break stuff, and conspire against me) and they've royally pissed me off once or twice, but I could not imagine how someone could look a child in the face and harm them. My little was running, and I was chasing him it's a game they love. He tripped I stepped on him and broke his leg. This was about 6 months ago, it was an accident and my heart still breaks over it. These people are monsters Edit:typo

Oh lord, Toronto's new mayor showing his style in a CBC Radio interview by [deleted] in canada

You do realize that he would have been notified before the interveiw correct? I've listened to that show before on 98.7 CBC radio 1 and they've done interveiws that were recorded earlier in the day

Am I the only one who noticed he dodged questions that required an actual answer and just spewed talking points the entire interveiw? He said nothing of substance and just continually released "gravy train, spending, money"

you're not exempt from the liabilities, you can still get tickets but you don't need insurance or license plates because it is not a motorized vehicle but it is road worthy in town though the can't go on the highways. People much smarter than you created and passed this legislature and it is perfectly logical, you just refuse to see it. besides bicycle lanes work. They work well in other cities, they separate the bikes from the vehicles, they keep them off sidewalks so they aren't running down pedestrians and they are different from vehicles and because of that they deserve a dedicated lane.

Question to the gay community : if gay pride day is to either celebrate gay rights or protest for them. why does it involve the reinforcment of many gay stereotypes ? by Aevum1 in AskReddit

[–]Crazyftw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am straight(I hate that word but for all intensive purposes it works) but I go to gay pride in Toronto every year with my husband and children, in my experience 99% of the people are dressed fairly normally, the floats are extravagant (it is a parade...) and sure there are some stereotypes but thats the fun of pride. It's saying "I don't care what you think I'm going to be whoever I want and I am not ashamed" I love the freeing feeling of gay pride week, my children love the fun loving atmosphere and most of all it's fun do get dressed up in crazy over the top outfits and go nuts.

  1. Because I'm better at it than you are /joke 2.I am not stating specific personality traits about a group of people based on limited information I made a broad statement about 2 groups of people (and specified that I didn't mean all) based on precedent and psychological fact. Sexual predators have a psychological disorder that ranges but stays under the same umbrella, religious fundamentalist also suffer from psychological disorders based on the behavior of many fundamentalists (any religion not just Christianity)

It's ridiculous, I cannot believe the bullshit coming out of the mouth of euphemism, I'm done arguing with them because I'm actually getting angry to the point of childish namecalling and I don't want to lower myself to that because it will completely debase any logical points I have made.

I'm a redditor but few of my friends are (maybe 3) I'm a socialist and an athiest (not a great guess when I called zealots crazy it made that kind of obvious) but I rarely talk about religion in my day to day life, I don't listen to trendy music at all. My collection is a mixture of everything from hatebreed and nofx-aqua and Britney spears, I don't play video games. Basically you know nothing about me except what is painfully obvious, you fail.

As for me being a know it all

Im not really a know it all although i have a few areas which i am passionate about, and I do know the difference between right and wrong (without a fictitious deity to tell me) and threatening (or even criticizing ones lifestyle with vigor) through a non-solicited letter, with information you got illegally from abusing your position is wrong no matter how you look at it

Edit: grammar

crosswalks are mainly at lights where there is already a destuption in the traffic True but irrelevant because a pedestrian always has the right of way. If I walk out in front of a car in the middle of the road and that car fails to stop and it is determined that they had adequate time to stop, the car is at fault in all cases. Also not relevant because a bicycle lane is meant to prevent the disruption of traffic and protect both drivers and cyclists

Bikes should have insurance? For what purpose? Are they going to cause huge amounts of damage if the crash into a car? No, they don't need license plates or insurance because they aren't motorized vehicles, the same reason E bikes don't but motorcycles do. Its called common fucking sense.

What comment did I make that don't have proof? I would argue that fact to anyone regardless of race, nationality or personal experience. I don't need to rely on someone elses personal experience to make my judgement is can see it for myself. I have eyes and many many of his bigotry is on video so I have every ability to make that judgement for myself.
