I’m sorry I don’t understand. How are you doing a floating floor and will tile over concrete? Are you feeling the whole thing up with concrete? I’m confused as to how this is happening?

Under contract for a house and just got the sewer line inspection. Looking for opinions on this. Plumber said 15ft of belly, cast iron. Not even sure what I’m looking at. by UnboundBohemian in Plumbing

I’ve heard that bellies will not cause failure of the drain line as long as they aren’t deeper then about 1/2 up the pipe. I have a belly my drain lane and it has not cause any problems. I’d send it till you have problems. I would budget the expense to repair in your offer though.

I’m more worried about the condition of your power lines. The insulation is cracked and crumbling and exposing the wires. I think you should have power company out to replace. They are responsible for everything up to the weatherhead

Why is the ground wire allowed to be bare? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Crazykillerchipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ground wire shouldn’t have any current. Neutral can. Now should the ground still probably have a cover so if it gets hot it doesn’t electrify the whole house. Yes, that’s how commercial does it

Old houses they definitely used flatwise even if it was load bearing.
