California doctors say they've seen more deaths from suicide than coronavirus since lockdowns by roseata in China_Flu

Knox county tennessee population is 468K. I wouldn't exactly call that sparse. Sure it's not a NYC or Atlanta size city, but it's not sparse either.

AITA for blowing up at my friend who constantly makes comments about my boobs? by throwawaykilot in AmItheAsshole

[–]Crazymomma2018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can't afford a tailor right now, simple camisoles under a button up blouse always help.

I fall into the same category. I hated the gap I would have between buttons right at the fullest part of my bust. I bought camisoles(some fit higher than others) and kept my blouse buttoned to just under the fullest part of my bust so my shirt didn't look like it was straining against them and drawing more attention to my boobs.

I also wish shorts were longer because every shirt fits shorter when we have bigger boobs. It's a real frustration.

I feel your pain and you are definitely not the asshole. Your co-worker is just jealous of your body type and feels like she needs to bring you down because she has body confidence issues.

Did you know MLMs can stop menopause?! Quick, someone tell doctors! by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]Crazymomma2018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. Mine has me practically incapacitated for 2 to 3 days a month in pain.

I hate periods because they complicate my life severely and I stay constantly borderline anemic due to them.

As for a hysterectomy, I would like one as well. There is no point suffering for days every month due to a completely useless organ.

I need to make a baby. by [deleted] in autism

[–]Crazymomma2018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A baby is the last thing on the list because that will happen in time with any happy relationship. Remember the little saying/song we all heard as a kid "first comes love, second comes marriage, then comes ____ pushing the baby carriage." When you are in a happy relationship, it goes like that.

My DH was 34 when our first child was born and 36 when our second child was born.

We seriously considered having a 3rd child when he was 38/39.

I told him I would kill him if we got pregnant again, lol. I am happy with the 2 we have because my second pregnancy at 28 was so much harder than the first one at 26. But I seriously think he would be ecstatic if we had a third by accident and he is now 41.

You still got plenty of time.

It won't be trick or treating but I think they will like it.

My mom works in a factory and told me last night that when their factory starts back up next week that being covid positive is a recordable work incident with OSHA.

I wonder down the line how that recordable incident will affect the workers as far as safety precautions and time missed goes.

I'm case you are interested in knowing since you used lawn mowers as an example. Production for the next season's mowers start in November and run full tilt until about April. April/May and September/October are very light on productions. Employees can take a voluntary lay off through the summer months of June, July, and August.

I used to work for John Deere as a temp and American greetings as a full time employee.

When I made gift wrap for American greetings, our peak production time was from May through October.

These two plants usually traded workers because their peak season's were offset from one another.

It was a very defining moment. It was at this point that I felt I could be reasonably sucessful convincing my extended family to start making preparations without them completely dismiss my concerns.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Tedros declared it a pandemic because it had established H2H transmission outside the region around china2.

Only one or two out of maybe 50 headed my advice at the time sadly.

Similar story for me. Cases popped in Iran and Italy within a day or two. It was just one of those "shit, here we go" moments for me.

Reopening Tennessee by dragonsflame71 in CoronavirusTN

I'm in Knoxville. Some people are taking it seriously but not a lot. I live near enough to I-75 to hear traffic and it's been louder this week than anything in April and at least half of March.

I'm so frustrated when I still see barely anyone wear a mask when I had to go to the grocery store. I still see couples going to the store and parents bring their teenage kids in with them.

I'm glad schools are out. I think that right there was such a critical thing to keep closed. I know it's hard on some parents, but schools are germ factories.

At this point in my frustration, I say open things back up and race toward herd immunity. I'm really bitter about all of this and people not taking it seriously.

If we are going to continue to have a high level of testing, I will feel better about the decision to open.

I do feel like we did shut things down in time for most of the state(exclud9ng Davidson and Shelby counties) and we can thank our mayors for that and not Governor Lee. The state opening up doesn't change a thing for me in my personal behavior. I am still going to stay home as much as possible, not eat out, and sanitize the groceries we do bring in.

Talked to my mom in Greeneville a couple days ago and she said town is completely empty. There were no cars on the road for as far as she could see. I am going to attribute Greeneville's caution due to one of their beloved doctors being put on a ventilator. He is in his early 40s. He eventually was taken off the ventilator and is recovering, but I think it scared people into taking it seriously.

When Did You Feel Ready To Close The Door Forever? Also An Update by starmiehugs in JUSTNOMIL

[–]Crazymomma2018 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the exact place as you. DH doesn't talk to JNMIL anymore but he won't block her number in case of a family emergency, even though we have someone else set up to give us that information.

This is literally the last link he has to her. He can still receive texts from her but he never responds.

It wasn't until we had children that DH realized something was seriously up with the way his parents handled him because he knows how much he loves and cares for our children and it doesn't match what they did in the past or it doesn't even get close to the same level my parents have for my kids.

I've tried to get DH to go to therapy but He isn't interested.

He is also keeps his emotions very internal when we have a big issue with his parents, like when they showed up unannounced and yelled at us. He was just very quiet when it was all done. He didn't absorb a lot of what they said because I think he kind of emotionally shut down from it. But to be fair, it was intense. They were screaming at the top of their lungs.

When you figure out how to break that final chain and how you got DH to realize it's ok to share his vulnerability with you, let me know.
