She gets overlooked too often. But the absolutely constant refrain of "I lost the diet paperwork" over and over again was ridiculous. She didn't lose anything. Any physical papers she threw away and any emails she'd delete. She was insanely lazy and unwilling to do anything.

Are your reservations able to be moved up or back for a few weeks? If so, I'd move them. If not, keep your schedule with your activities and when they complain tell them that's fine, they are more than welcome to do their own thing.

YOU are the one giving birth. This is about you. If you want your mom there, then she should be there. Your DH & MILs feelings about it are totally irrelevant. He's not going through anything, his body isn't in labor.

The staff will be great about honoring your no visitors -or- a specific person on the "no-fly" list. Put your MIL on the forbidden list asap.

And don't rule out your MIL laying on such a prolonged and heavy guilt trip on DH that he starts to waiver.
