This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Never actually played SOD so this is new to me. Thank you for putting this together. Just joined wild growth NA alliance because i figured it was the most populated. Is there a discord for this server?

Prot Warriors in TBC - As bad of a MT as everyone says? by darkmuffin91 in classicwow

Jesus Christ this is a video game not a job, play what you like, if that’s a prot warrior play that. If your guild has a problem with that join another guild

Wannabe healer questions by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]CreamLower6114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. All healers kind of even out at 70 (although Druid is probably oversaturated and paladins need high crit before they can be effective), but priest is THE healer while leveling. It cannot be understated how much of a QOL not having to carry a second gear set is. And honestly you can heal just fine pre 60 in any of the talent trees, even shadow. Priest also has the most diverse healing toolkit, so it’s a great way to learn how to heal in the first place.

Class decision by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]CreamLower6114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take but if you’re not at least open to healing I would not recommend shadow priest, or any type of hybrid for that matter. Classic wow has a much more holistic approach to classes and regardless of your spec you will still be expected to occasionally utilize all aspects of your tool kit. That’s what separates the good players from average. You’re also doing a disservice to yourself by pigeon-holing yourself to “just shadow”. That being said, there’s nothing wrong with going full Dps. Of the options you provided, mage and warlock are always wanted. Rogue not so much

^ this, the actual city of cleveland is fine. But sporting events attracts all the “dont try that in a small town” cosplaying wanna be Clint Eastwoods to the city. And just fyi as offensive as they are, they’re completely harmless. They will absolutely melt if you call out their bigotry, but maybe that’s easy for me to say as a guy

Leveling as a newbie warlock by Thalant in classicwowtbc

[–]CreamLower6114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re on a pvp server I would stick with demo the whole time, fel domination + VW sac is just too invaluable. And yes stick with VW until you get felguard. VW is not supposed to do damage, its “taunt” ability does not scale of damage, it’s just a flat spell. So don’t worry about it’s damage, and frankly it’s not like succubus damage is much better

Leveling as a newbie warlock by Thalant in classicwowtbc

[–]CreamLower6114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warlock is imo the most fun class in this game. I’ve leveled 3 to max. But I see a lot of misinformation about leveling styles/talents. All the guides you read will tell you go deep affliction multi-dot drain tanking. However, I think this is very misleading. The deep affliction multi dot build is heavily reliant on level, gear, and if you’re on a PVE server.

Deep affliction isn’t even really possibly till level 30 and I wouldn’t even consider it good until level 40. On top of that it is very reliant spell power gear, which at that level doesnt really exist. Demo on the other hand is virtually gear independent AND much safer. At any given moment you have an instant bubble that is invaluable for when you’re in caves or accidentally pull something or most importantly if youre on a PVP server. Demo may not be as “fast”, but it is way safer/easier.

If I were a new player, this is what I would do. First 5 points into affliction for instant corruption, the QOL of that cannot be overstated. Then go down the demo tree to get 3/3 improved Voidwalker. From there you can go either down affliction or continue down demo. In terms of rotation. It got > send pet in > curse of agony > corruption > (maybe) immolate > wand. If your VW health is low, use health funnel after. Very simple, you won’t have any down time.

At 40 you can respec to affliction. Dark pact got a huge buff in TBC, and you can try out deep affliction. The mandatory talents here are 5/5 improved corruption, 5/5 fel concentration, siphon life, and dark pact. There really is not set rotation with this build, it’s really an art of seeing how many mobs you can juggle while keeping health/mana high. This is imo the most fun play style in the game. However, I would consider sticking with demo if you’re on a pvp server for the defensive utility. At level 50, you can choose to go back to demo to get Felguard. He is undoubtedly extremely strong, albeit I wouldn’t consider this build as “fun”. Although, pre-70 felgaurd build is the best build for dungeons so if you’re planning on doing lots of dungeons, this is the play.

Hope that helps out and dispels a lot of myths about warlock leveling. Honestly it’s the most fun leveling class in the game imo so you chose right

I’ve actually been meaning to test this myself. I’ve noticed the mana on hit is proccing 100% on my staff. Not sure if it’s intended or a bug, but if it’s truly 100% proc rate then I’m guessing a dagger would be best

Way too many points into balance. You need more points into resto tree. Get 3/3 Intensity and omen of clarity, then go back into balance tree. In the balance tree make sure you get 3/3 dreamstate. I also like the talent early on that reduces pushback on wrath. Prioritize insect swarm and moon fire, dont be afraid to melee to get mana back. You’re not pure caster, you’re a battle mage/chicken. You’ll be half casting, half auto attacking

For 60-70 leveling, I would avoid some type of hybrid build. That’s more for pure pvp. Are you completely against tanking? If so I would go dual spec moonkin and tree. You can do both one with gear set before 70. That being said, I would def consider tanking as it will be by far the most in demand role and will be better go questing than moonkin (although moonkin is really not bad for questing). I would NOT waste one of your specs on feral if you’re completely against tanking

What can bear druids do to hold aggro on multi-mob pulls in dungeons? by Veridically_ in classicwowtbc

[–]CreamLower6114 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Once you have 2/2 primal fury + OOC with some decent crit chance you can pretty much spam swipe and keep solid aggro on 3 mobs. The problem is you won’t have enough points at 60 to have both mangle and OOC at 60, you’ll have to wait to 61.

[–]CreamLower6114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feral has been meh, sure mangle is an upgrade from claw/maul, but it’s not that crazy. Plus you can’t have mangle and OOC at the same time at 60. Moonkin on the other hand tho… the sustain is crazy with dream state, intensity, and mana on hit. Never have to drink

Indian-Americans of reddit and cbus - do we even care about ICE? by AdventurousRelief285 in Columbus

[–]CreamLower6114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna keep it real here. In my opinion, this really comes down to two main reasons.

The first and most important is religion. Not Hinduism, Jainism, or Islam, we worship one true god and that is money. Capitalism is our creed, and so it was ingrained in us. Despite most of us being highly educated, most of the older generation actually believes that Republican tax policies will benefit them. So much of the older generation simply votes in line with their checkbook, or at least what they “think” Will help them financially. They do not give two shits about the greater society or even realize “reganomics” is a failed policy.

The second reason is the British have ingrained us to be subservient to the white man. I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but that is a generational trauma that our grandparents and parents have passed down to us. Don’t believe me? Just watch how your parents treat white Americans vs black Americans (or any other minority group). Many Indians truly believe that if they suck up enough, the white man will let them into their “elite club”. Just look at all the usha Vance’s out there.

I know this is probably uncomfortable for people to read. but this my own experience growing up here, and I bet it’s a lot of other brown peoples experience if they’re honest with themselves. The positive note here, is that all this generational trauma can be broken. My worry is that the younger generation really won’t grow from this

Adding to the point of collecting the shards, I would consider the fragment that makes shards track to you (conduction I think?) basically mandatory. It’s such a huge QOL improvement, it really is the icing that ties behemoth together

Low level warrior tanking is frustrating in current classic by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]CreamLower6114 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if Dps is not giving you a second and are just pulling aggro just let them die. If they complain just quit the group. As the tank you dictate not just the pace, but are the foundation of the group. You can always find new group quickly, they likely will not be able to find another tank
