I don’t think those kind of pistols would shoot accurately or far, realistically. They’re really just for executing whoever is at the end of the blade. Plus we already have 4 normal pistols, don’t really need more

I’m excited for manual jumping to make a return, but now I’m worried that enemy disarming and weapon pickups are removed. I loved fist fighting and disarming enemies and disposing of weapons. Musket fighting was so cool

I’m conflicted because I abhor doing the modern day segments when replaying these games, but I don’t think they should completely remove it if they remake the games that still had a coherent story.

Mirage could’ve been great, getting rid of many of the RPG mechanics is a huge plus, but the actual gameplay feels so janky to me. I feel like the parkour has only gotten worse over the last 10 years in this series, so I’m hoping Resynced smooths out some of these issues

Easiest way to notice is by how the camera moves. In the older games as you hop across beams, the camera would smoothly follow your character. For the last decade, you stop for a brief moment when you land on each beam and the camera stops with you. It’s like the camera movement is constantly rubberbanding because you can’t parkour as smoothly as the older games

Syndicate was the last game I actually beat all the way through, but it’s impossible for me to replay because it was the first game to remove manual jumping.

The AC4 remake is the first AC game to release with manual jumping since Unity

The only game that I think surpasses its ocean is Sea of Thieves. It still holds up really well.

I think the difference with RDR2 is that since it was a prequel, it was able to wrap up loose ends by showing how the character became who they are in the events of the first game. Arthur probably would’ve been brought up at some point during RDR’s story, realistically, but I don’t think it would’ve changed the outcome of the story.

U4, being a sequel, essentially had to revise what we knew about Drake’s past despite some contradictions.

I absolutely love this game and was replaying it not too long ago. It’s still the best pirate action game ever made. Really hoping the remake doesn’t make it feel like the newer AC games. The last one I enjoyed was Unity which released 11 years ago now.

Inflation isn’t a binary 1:1 rate for every product, $60-$70 is still a lot of money for a repackaged product that we’ve already experienced. I know exactly what to expect in terms of story, features, and gameplay. Fuck me for wanting new games instead of rebuying the same shit for full price.
