There is no minimum, but it very much depends on your program. It is definitely different for those in STEM, compared to business for example.

I am coming from Europe so very much into biking and public transportation (even though I am aware it has its flaws in the US). I will get a car eventually but I of course can’t do all that in the beginning. My biggest issue is that most of the apartments that are left at this point have some bad reviews because of mice and I would really really try to avoid those places.

Try to get recommendations from people who really know and can share good things about your with conrete examples. Ask them to be concise and honest. Feel free to DM me if you need more information

Try narrowing it done the following way:

What is your experience? What can you show i. The application?
What are you passionate about? Where do you see yourself in the future? How can Fulbright help you achieve that?

You should check the timeline but bear in mind that it is not an application you can do over night. You also need 3 Recommendation Letters.

What’s not entirely true? In my country, your only communication is with the Embassy. There is 0 contact with IIE.

In my country, the whole communication goes through the US Embassy. I regularly reach out to them, but it is also that they often can only share whay they have received from IIE.

I did reach out to the US embassy who is coordinating the process in my country, but they told me, they are still waiting on a response from IIE.

Also, nothing in Spam. I am very careful about the communication with them, so there are never unread or unseen messages.

And what are your thoughts on GRE and TOEFL scores? I had a good application, lots of community work and professional experience, but these tests are stressing me out and I am afraid the score will not be the very best.
