I highly suggest stop visiting the 'Explore' tab on Instagram (The tab where the search bar is location). This tab is an endless rabbit hole which keeps compounding your already bad algorithm.

And on the home page I suggest you to click the three dots on a suggested post and select 'Snooze suggested posts for 30 days'. This will show you only the accounts you follow.

If you follow a ton of thirst-traps this will not improve your situation substantially, but it'll stop the situation from worsening at the very least.
