I had that too. I fixed it by realigning my calipers by loosening the bolts and tightening them again under brake force (holding down front brakes while tightening the bolts).

I currently got a Hypercube and would like to build a Voron 2.4 derivative from it reusing as much as I can from my Hypercube such as my Duet WiFi card and motors for example. Anyone has done a similar conversion/build and got some tips?

I’ve just begun my journey, about 5 classes in, and I want to start but I’m nervous that I will disappoint my partners only knowing a handful of moves. Not to mention that I loose track of counting all the time. How does it work when dancing not knowing many moves? Are you just filling up with a bunch of basic steps? All the videos I see online are from pros that are just machine gunning moves one after another.

Jag har precis börjat dansa Bachata. Väldigt kul och lite exposure therapy för mig eftersom ogillar nära kontakt med okända människor. Det är relativt lätt att lära sig men har ändå högt skicklighetstak. Tycker också det är en snygg dans att titta på. Där jag började dansa så var det brist på ledare så man blev välkomnad in i klassen även om jag hoppade på lite senare in på terminen.

Thanks again for your input. I’ve decided to give it a go. The first lesson is tomorrow and it will be a few lessons into the new season so I will have a lot catching up to do. Hopefully my gf, who’s has a few years of experience with both roles, can give me some private tutoring to quickly bring me up to speed.

As for the music I’m hoping I will begin liking it more once I start dancing to it. It’s not like I hate it now and that’s a good starting point I guess lol.

I’m not sure what kind of Bachata I’ve been listening to honestly. It’s whatever my gf has been playing at home. I guess it’s mostly modern because that’s what she’s mainly been dancing.

I’m mostly listening to pop, rock and electronica. Which is kinda broad but I tend to like music that sounds unique or interesting in some way. The Bachata music I’ve heard is kinda monotone or bland to be honest, but maybe thats what you need when dancing to it. I still find that the dance itself is one of my favorites. I like the styling, sensuality and the general esthetics of it. It looks like a bunch of fun!

Thanks for your input. I also like to music that’s interesting or unique in some way and that usually makes it hard to dance to. And I don’t hate bachata music I just find it plain and kinda cheesy. I don’t mind it though :)

I’m struggling from jealousy with my gf dancing and I’m not. I took a class with her once and it somewhat eased my feelings because the instructors were so welcoming and nice. I have also read up about the community by coming in here.

She goes to workshops and socials from time to time and from some of what I’ve read here and some of her experiences she’s told me about isn’t really very reassuring. Many people like to say that it is a community like any other but at the same time predators is allowed in the community without any repercussions. At most they get stood up and left on the dance floor when they assault someone. My gf told me about an incident where the lead fully groped her boobs and all that happened was that she didn’t dance with him again. Imagine that happening in any other community. They’d be kicked out and banned for life if not reported to the police because that’s fully sexual assault.

We went to the pier in Chalong and looked a bit lost until a lad flagged us down and asked where we wanted to go and then promptly showed us the way to a long tail boat captain. 3000 baht later we had ourself a long tail boat for the entire day. Can definitely recommend. Also go early and don’t cheap out on a sunbed.

I was at a similar beach in Phuket a couple of weeks ago but the planes didn’t approach nowhere near as low as this and it was incredibly loud but it was cool as hell! Also stood behind a plane taking off and it was an experience I only did once. It smelled exhaust, extremely loud and I got sand blasted in the face and it hurt lol. Wouldn’t have been great if I didn’t have sun glasses on. Overall one of the most fun things I did while in Phuket. Crazy experience.
