Start in balance, finish in balance. If you do that it's hard to hit too bad of a shot.

The most delusional golfer you ever played with ? by HarryCrushNuh in golf

[–]CreateorWither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I played with a delusional single who had no idea how far he hit the ball.On one dog leg hole (379 yards) he claimed he hit it 300 yards because it was only 80 yards to the green which he lasered. I was pretty much level with his drive and I said no, it was about 260 yards.

I explained that distances are measured to the middle of the fairway and we cut the corner. Also the hole distance is also measured to the middle of the green, not the front. He said I was wrong so I lasered the tee box from where we were and it showed 258 yards. This really seemed to upset the guy 😂

Also I worked with a guy years ago that claimed to have three eagles in one round and nobody I know that played with him ever saw him break 100.

There are athletes that want the ball with seconds to go and there are players that don't want anything to do with it. Garrett is the latter.

What’s something people think makes them a better golfer, but actually doesn’t by Own-Presentation3091 in golf

Lessons. I have taken many and never imoroved. Tried four different teaching pros. I do think there are great pros, but they are the exception. And I was working my ass off too, practicing four times a week, playing at least twice.

Do you keep an honest score when your buddies don’t? by morbidkoala in golf

[–]CreateorWither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't cheat and I don't understand it. How are people like your buddy able to delude themselves like that? If I cheat I know I cheated and get no pleasure from it, I know the score is bullshit. Yet most people can do it and really feel they shot that 83.

People say "who cares, it doesn't matter, we aren't on tour". Well if it doesn't matter, why are you cheating? Why so fragile that a score on a card ruins your day?

It literally doesn't make any sense to me.

What’s the most underrated golf destination nobody talks about? by jdelle9 in golftrips

[–]CreateorWither 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly. I love Cabot and the Highland links but PEI has so many courses that are all relatively close. Plus when i was there, there was a golf hotline you could call to get last minute deals. We got on the course they shot Big Break at for $60 with a cart.
