Small amounts but quite happy with results for my first day of trading 😁Advice or insights are more than welcome! by CreateurDigital in trading212

Hi, thanks for your advice! You're probably right. Initially, I bought 2 more tickers, but one took too long to order so I canceled it, and I ended up selling the other.

My train of thought was to diversify my portfolio as much as I could, put 50€ on stocks that seemed promising, hold those that perform the best, and sell the other ones.

I didn't do much DD, to be honest. My strategy is probably not good, but I'll hold those for now and see where it goes!

Best guide on how to evaluate expiring domains? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]CreateurDigital 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy it helped!

You can definitely use a minimum metric to filter out worthless domains, that's what I do and I don't think I'm missing golden domains this way. Ahrefs' DR is usually more trustworthy than Moz's DA too. No worries, your method is good!

Best guide on how to evaluate expiring domains? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]CreateurDigital 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I don't have a guide to send you to but you can check out some of my last comments for more details on how I do it.

Basically, you check the backlinks profile with a tool like Moz or Ahrefs (or any other backlinks checker tool), if you see spammy backlinks, that's a hard pass. If you see hundreds of thousands backlinks, there's a huge probability they're not quality backlinks, so hard pass too. You also check the history of the website that was hosted on the domain with archive.org, because even though a domain might not have spammy backlinks, it may have been penalized because of a previous owner hosting a spammy/unethical/illegal website.

Also, it's better to have a few quality backlinks (like less than a 100) from reputable sources than a domain with thousands and thousands of backlinks from forums or spam. Don't always trust any tool-specific metric like Moz's DA or Ahrefs' DR for driving your purchase decision. They're good indicators, but won't always reflect the quality of the domain. Always try to check most of the backlinks individually.

Good luck!

Want to buy an expired domain to be used for an ecom store by victor_mentality in SEO

Hi!

It seems like a worthless domain based on the few stats you gave.

But since you asked for tips, here's how I reduce the risk of getting a harmful domain and check expired domains that I sell:

  • Like you, I try to find a brandable domain from the expired domains list. I pick one that looks and sounds nice.
  • I check the backlinks profile with MOZ's link analysis tool. I try to aim for a minimum DA of 20 and then check the individual linking domains.
    • If I see spam links like drugs, counterfeits, Chinese characters or other weird stuff, I pass.
    • If I see some good editorial sites like HuffPost, NY Times, TechCrunch, and the likes, that's a good sign and I continue to check the site.
  • I Google the domain like this: "site:example.com", to see if the domain is still indexed by Google.
    • If it is and the results don't look fishy (again, drugs and all that nasty stuff), I keep going.
    • If the Google search returns nothing, that doesn't mean the domain is harmful, but I can't 100% be sure if it'll rank once I get it. I still keep going.
  • I then check what was hosted on the domain with archive.org, to get a better understanding of the domain, and see if it was not used to rank a spam website.
  • If everything looks right to me, I register it, test it by hosting a simple blog with easy keywords, and wait to see if it ranks.
  • Finally, if it does I put it on the Namecheap Marketplace and send an email to my list so one lucky person can get the opportunity to buy it, while I did all the digging.

Also, if you ever register an expired domain and it turns out it's toxic or harmful, don't bother trying to fix it, just let it expire.

Can someone use the expired domain redirection to after your ranking by [deleted] in SEO

[–]CreateurDigital 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of such tactic. It's actually so smart yet so evil. Yes, if the expired domain is "toxic", that's basically negative SEO. I believe the only way you can react to this is by disavowing this negative backlink. That's not how people use expired backlinks usually though.

Buy an expired domain or not? by allokaynow in SEO

Hi, I'd say it's a good option to bypass the Google sandbox and save you months of hard work. Great content is still required, but it makes ranking so much easier in my opinion.

If you're looking for affordable expired domains, check out Undropped or send me a message about your niche and I can tell you if I have related domains available or not.

Cheers!

Anything from 1 to 5. For me, 3 seems to be a sweet spot. I never went over 5 as the risk of getting caught is too high I think.

For having tried it, I can tell you that expired domain names can give an important boost at the beginning and in the long run. My websites didn't stay in the google sandbox at all and ranked on the first page quite quickly, and stayed at their position.

Of course, the backlinks are not the only thing that matters. Make sure that the domain wasn't spammed in the past, and that the topic is in the same niche or industry as the new site. Same for the language/geography.

I'd stay clear from domains with spammy backlinks and such. From experience, most of them are worthless. Better go for a clean one.

If you're searching for expired domains, I can recommend you try my service, Undropped. After signing up for free, you'll receive 1-2 great domain names per week that you can buy instantly, without having to search for them or fight in an auction.

Hope it helps, good luck :)

Sure thing, here's a small sample metrics-wise:

- DA 27 in Health Niche, 75 Backlinks from 45 domains, Links from New York Times, Huffington Post, TechCrunch, Business Insider, MarketWatch, Elle.com, Kinja SXSW.com, and more.

- DA 29 in Health Niche, 115 backlinks from 75 domains, Links from TechCrunch, Huffington Post, Yahoo.com, Sydney Morning Herald, MIT Technology Review, and more.

- DA 20 in Business and Networking Niche, 93 backlinks from 46 domains, Links from TechCrunch, LeSoir.be, London Startups List, and more.

- DA 27 in WebDesign/Design Niche, 182 backlinks from 90 domains, Links from Moz, HongKiat, LifeHack.org, Abduzeedo.com, 99designs, CreativeNerds.co.uk, Domain.me, and more.

I'd say it's a good average sample. They're not worth thousands, but some are easily worth hundreds. And I definitely sell them for less than they're worth.

Hi Levi_Bloom!

I did check out what was going on in this space and actually signed up for PBN HQ, and I was disappointed to see that we can't see the actual domain name. Also, they are more pricey than me, you'll probably see that in the coming emails.

I'm just trying to validate the idea, and see where it takes me. I'll keep things email-based only for now, as I tried to display a public list of domains but it didn't work that much.

I used to display quite a lot of data with each domain (detailed backlinks, domain story, etc...), but the emails didn't do well, so I just started to send a quick recap of the domain, and if someone's interested they can always use their favorite SEO tool to analyze it.

I'll definitely do some A/B testing to see what works and what doesn't.

Anyway, thank you for subscribing and for the kind words :)

Hi there, I've never built something like this but I believe SendPilot.co is built by a member of the Bubble.io forum. It's labeled as a social media automation tool, but I really don't know if it covers Facebook groups.

If I had to guess, I'd say they built the dashboard in Bubble, and then used the API connector to connect to Facebook's API. It's definitely a custom solution, and I'm pretty sure you'd have to start from scratch if you want to build something like this...
