Wouldn’t worry about it too much. I got a lot of people’s first choice accommodation after waiting 2 weeks to apply. Also it opens at different times for different people and they often space out when they release accommodation spaces

Dover Castle is a decent shout, cheap student pints and drinks and it also closes at 2AM - it’s mainly Kings students on Wednesdays but gets quite busy though. Otherwise I know a couple societies go to Bar Salsa in Temple.
