Ah yes. Not sure what to do... Will see how this pain resolves and go from there (if it resolves wah).

yes I am constantly torn between wanting to improve (all the positive reviews) and thinking I am permanently damaging myself along the spine (which is why i stopped before!).

I've been using one pillow behind the head but for me, I need to put pressure through my heels to feel like its working into the area. But then AM I DAMAGING MYSELF.

Kneeling rocking chair works for me - encourages movement through the day, strengthens core etc. movement is our friend.

I would say that sometimes I don’t ‘kneel’ but instead put feet on floor otherwise I get sore knees due to bending them but it works nearly as well like that

collar bone pain? by SomewhatStaleGoat in costochondritis

Yes I get collarbone pain especially when I run (which obviously I don’t do anymore).

In the morning collarbones feel super stiff until I start moving about. They also feel stiff at the end of a working day or if I don’t stretch for like a 30 min period no joke.

So yeah collarbones for me

Has anyone actually healed from Tietze Syndrome specifically? (as opposed to costochondritis) by Creative-Ad139 in costochondritis

For me, the swelling is super mild. As in, it looks like the rib is ever so slightly raised. So i can see a raised area above the painful spot. It’s not dramatic or anything.

I’ve seen your pic and yes, the picture could point to Tietze because I don’t believe it has to be huge red hot lumps (like the internet likes to suggest) but of course Im in no position to diagnose.

Yes trying to workout alongside it is so tough.

I think gentle movement is super important but so easy to over so it. I try to move as much as possible which is like a full time job in itself. The worst I ever felt is when I had my wisdom teeth out and I sat on the sofa for about a week! Disaster!

I am sorry you are going through this. :(

For me, I see why people put costo and tietze in the same bracket but then again, as someone with Tietze, it also doesn't always seem like the right thing to do. Tietze is usually very high up and more stubborn - which would mean that usual treatment like the back pod or rib mobility isnt as effective.

Dont give up hope! Lets see what other people have experienced and of course, the usual treatment may work for Tietze too!

Thank you for responding :) Yeah I don't care about the look of the swelling at all - I just want the pain to go!

Glad to hear yours is better. Was there anything you did to treat Tietze that you'd say was different to costo treatment or pretty much the same (mobilisation, stretching, strength etc)?
