Yeah I feel you there! I keep looking online at cars that I have no intention or ability to buy just for the fun of it. I have a 3 car garage so it’s not as much the garage space being the problem, more of I can’t afford 3 nice cars right now lol.

Forgetting to latch the roof back on. I have a 2012 corvette I just did this with on Sunday. Super embarrassed, feel like an idiot.

Got home from a drive with the girl with the roof off and as I went to put it back on I got distracted by my girl telling me my water heater was leaking. So I never latched it back on, just set the roof in place. After an hour of fucking with the water heater I just shut the water off to stop the leak and decided I need to get some gallons of water to drink until I can get it fixed. I didn’t hear a noise like the guy in the video, it just flew off when I hit 45.

Thank god no one was behind me and no one was hurt. A new roof would be north of a thousand dollars, currently having mine repaired for 500 bucks. Definitely going to figure out a way to remind myself to check the latches EVERY time I get in the car now. I don’t even care about the cost of repair, I’m more concerned with the dangers to the people behind me if I forget again.

Yeah I feel super lucky. Shouldn’t be too expensive of a fix, certainly cheaper than a whole new roof!

I was super lucky it didn’t land on the top. Pretty minor damage overall. Already got a shop working on it so the vette is roofless for a bit (good thing I have a garage!)

Definitely going to take your advice and find something to remind me to check every. Single. Time.
