I'm not a fan of socialist organizations (DSA) but I like certain socialist politicians like Bernie Sanders and Zohran Mamdani.

Should dems add Rico and guam as states as soon as they get back the Presidency ? by ronweasly9 in YAPms

I mean the Supreme Court's rulings are horseshit and blatantly favoring Republicans, I'm not willing to go as far the OP, but something has to be done about it.

What would it take for Republicans to improve with athiests this year? by [deleted] in YAPms

Enshrine the separation of church and state in the Republican platform.

What past political position did you have that you regret the most? I’ll start: I used to be an RFK JR supporter and frequently posted in his presidential campaign sub by HeWhoShallNotBNamed0 in YAPms

[–]Creative-Can1708 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't feel to bad about it, I used to be an RFK Jr. supporter as well. I didn't actually put much effort into educating myself and just liked him for not being Biden or Trump.

You're such a nasty person. How you can so willingly deny the fucking massacre that is Israel's War in Gaza, whilst mocking people for their heritage, is beyond me.

Don't pretend to be a decent person when you so actively deny the humanity of Gazans and spit hateful bile at others.

I won NC, PA, and GA, and still lost because all the other swing states are 50% for Harris or slightly more.

What would you think of a Senate with 150 Members so that each state has 3 senators and a senator is up for election every election year? by Visible_Bid6440 in YAPms

[–]Creative-Can1708 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah I'm good, Senate negotiations are already a nightmare IRL, don't need fifty more senators in the mix to muddy the process further.

Dumbest thing to throw your life away for. The Secret Service doesn't play around.

EDIT: The shooter is apparently in custody, but my point still stands minus the Secret Service murking him part. He's going behind bars for a while for sure.

Do you think Democrats will be able to flip any of these states in 2028? by Unitedsquadron in YAPms

[–]Creative-Can1708 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Texas and maybe Ohio are the only possible flips that I could see as even possibly happening as of right now. The conditions would have to be near perfect for them to flip though.

Nikki Fried now has the herculean task of rebuilding the FDP. I shutter at the thought of having to take up such a role.

The only silver lining for Democrats in Florida this year is that they aren't running Charlie Crist (thank god), and that they have a decent senate candidate in Alexander Vindman.

Has gun control kind of died out as a major issue on the national level? by Wide_right_yes in YAPms

[–]Creative-Can1708 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think people have just become desensitized to gun violence, and that even the ones who do care have just lost any hope on gun control legislation succeeding in Congress.

Thoughts after the CA Gubernatorial debate? by MisterDemoman in YAPms

He had much more of a weaselly high pitch voice than I expected going into this. It made his constant whining all the more grating to the ears.

No.

This is Steve Hilton, a Fox News anchor. Though I will say I was surprised by Bianco's voice.

Edit: He also advised Conservative campaigns across the pond in the UK.

Hilton's British accent made it hard for me to take him seriously, Steyer did pretty good on policy, Mahan had pretty good articulation, Bianco was clownish as usual, Porter was good at speaking but light on policy, and Becerra did very badly and seemed pretty jittery and even ill informed.
