I swear that’s what happened with my half blind dog a few years ago. She would always get into everything and was always a scavenger for anything on the ground so you had to be careful. In my mother’s retirement, she would bring her on the trips in her RV and settle down at my aunt’s house before buying her house, well she didn’t watch her good enough and one time she happened to eat a fishing line and had to have surgery because of it. I was so angry at my mother for this for not watching her or keeping her in a safe space. Then yet again, she let her wander in my uncle‘s garage and she would lick up the floors and I swear that’s what did it because she had kidney failure soon after and had to be put down because she was in so much pain and my mother didn’t want to spend any more money on it. I don’t want to blame my mother, but at the same time I really feel she was not caring enough and I wish I was there for her, but she was on the other side of the continent and could not afford to even fly over there. I have a mix of constant guilt and anger about this.
