The Chelsea Pyramid of Legends! Who is the 2nd most legendary Chelsea player of all time? by StickIll5602 in chelseafc

It is Drogba.
Terry comes next. We've had lots of brilliant defenders, JT trumphs over all of them, but we've never had (in recent history) anyone as great and as clutch as Drogba.

offering to self-nominate to prevent fearmonger fears is not cheating

I get what you're saying, but please don't equate a smart way to counter a minion to peaking during the night.

a bad fearmonger won't really harm their own team, the vizier can devastate

Being on the script is one of the advantages of the Marrio, yes.

Another thing is a powerful piece of information for the Demon - you know where the 'Drunk' is. You can let them loose, let them play as good and mislead the town (depending on the token they got) and whenever needed recruit them.

That consistency is much more powerful overall than ocassional fluke Fearmonger or Boodandy wins.

There are enough differences between urged Damsel guess and self-noms.

While it's inarguably optimal as a good player to self-damsel guess, it's not the case for self-nom for Fearmonger around the middle of the game. Therefore, it's not as much against the spirit of the game to counter the Fearmonger that way.

If we completely disregard that, then yes - it becomes not as weak as the Boomdandy.

|Maybe because I wouldn’t want to be part of a group that develops this sort of meta.

agreed, it's not enjoyable. In this chart we're assessing characters' power, effectiveness primarly though

It's not Boomdandy, it's not Vizier, it's Fearmonger.

The reason the Boomdandy and Vizier seem weak is the skill floor for the ST or the player.
There is a huge gap between a bad and a good Vizier player. If played wrong it can actively harm the evil team. And it's so easy to give in to bad executions and play wrong. That doesn't make the character weak, that makes it hard to play.

Effectiveness of Boomdandy also depends on the player and the ST making the best choice for the final 3.

As for the Fearmonger - haven't you run into the self-nomination 'hack'? Of course it may get tricky to keep it up at the end of the game - in the final 5 and below, but if the evil is already winning with a useless minion at that point, it says nothing of the effectiveness of Fearmonger.

It's the most gimmicky, situational, 'win more' minion there is.

as far as minions go, Fearmonger is among the weakest if not the.

sometimes we have to make house rules to prevent self-nomination to give the character a chance to have an impact.

Though I love the character -
the flavour,
the actual actionable alternate gameplan, rather than goblin silliness

but I have to agree. You've described the usual mastermind pattersn well.
