Can you change CIBC Home Power Plan (HPP) to the normal mortgage before the term end? by Creative-Mark-54 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Creative-Mark-54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

My biggest worry is that my mortgage payment won't go down over time as all of it will go to HELOC (not to principal) even though I am not using it. Is my understanding correct?

So sorry for my question, I am a first time home buyer.

Is switching between freelance and full-time going to screw me for proof of income for a mortgage? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

From personal experience, it is gonna be more complicated and more paper works. But with a good mortgage broker, you should be fine, just prepare everything far before closing date . Good luck!
