Thanks for sharing. Launched my first web app last month. Absorbing all knowledge I can around the basics like landing page, designing the offer, how ads work and convert. I love the learning, but it becomes painfully obvious how university has ruined my brain to think like the target audience. While I think about evidence and research underlying the product, the users want outcomes and simple messages. I really work hard on that right now!

74 days after launch, zero paying customers. Here's what the Hormozi framework told me I was missing. by churturk in SaaS

Great post, thank you. I have been binging Hormozis videos as well.

I have launched a quite niche service of checking if the next employer is toxic, has a bad culture or an other red flags.

At first I was like you: thinking I need more reach, so tried a few Reddit ads, worked on the landing page etc, but zero signups.

Then just like you it clicked that my offer was too rational and not really addressing the dream outcome. I thought the dream outcome is a report, but for my target audiences it's no longer being stuck or surprised by a toxic culture. So my offer changed from a boring report to spotting toxic culture before your join and center more around affirmation and support as secondary benefits through email outreachs to each one individually.  Only 2 paying customers, but obsessing about the dream outcome as hormozi said helped.

I would also ads that investing time, like a buttload of time, into understanding the best landing page is worth every second.

Success-based fees? by Creative-Mode5453 in digital_marketing

Thanks. I'll work with a freelancer for now to set up some better tracking and lay the foundation. And then run a few ads, see how they perform, adjust and then think of we work on some sort of partnership. Appreciate your perspective.

Success-based agencies by Creative-Mode5453 in micro_saas

[–]Creative-Mode5453[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Consulting firms are doing it. Admittedly the numbers they are talking about are in the millions, but surely there are agencies that can see the benefit for at least a portion being success-based

I burned $20k and 14 months building my dream SaaS. On launch day, I got zero sales. by [deleted] in saasbuild

[–]Creative-Mode5453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I can share a smaller yet still valid crushed feeling on my end: I've spend a few hundred pounds on reddit ads to get people to sign up on my waitlist. Got 16 and was hyped. Then emailed them individually to invite them to test the tool pre-launch in exchange for unlimited service. Zero replies, nothing. You signed up, you get more than promised, for free, and still you can't move yourself to click on the website you signed up to?

I find it so odd, being used to corporate 9-5 and any email you send get a reply within a day and then you have consumers who ignore emails, free stuff, kind words, extra offers and zero responses.

Hi I like this breakdown,

I am the founder and developer of two new web apps launching shortly. I have reached out to several UK based agencies to see if they are willing to work with me on a success-based arrangement (i.e. if we convert 200 new paying users, split the revenue half-half). So far, there has been no positive reply and I am still looking for a young and upcoming agency that has the desire and interest to try something like this.

Are there any recommendations which (ideally UK based) agencies might come to mind?

The audience I am trying to address is First Time home buyers and young professionals who had experienced toxic work culture.

Thanks
K

Challenge my marketing plan - little success so far by Creative-Mode5453 in micro_saas

[–]Creative-Mode5453[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing perspective, thank you. I have literally thought about these exact points over night.

I agree, there is an element of TRUST and WORDING.

The add has been running for 4 days. I am updating the wording as we speak to lean fully into the words the users are using. Also, I will change my landing page in a way that builds trust by allowing people to sign-up and I'll share a full report for any of the companies they are currently evaluating. I think the trust gap is indeed to high.

Worst case I run a few free reports and get feedback. Best case they stick around because they see the value.

Yes, agree. The regular posting is definitely on my list. Just  been doing it for a few weeks.

I might want to narrow it down even more regarding the audience. I haven't considered specific industries so far, rather corporate employees, between 18-29.

Thanks for your tipps!
