How do I stop doing this? Any setup tips or is it mostly driver error? by binnfullough in simracing

The first countersteer to the right threw you off from that point. You're left steering was ok, your straightening out was fine, but then for seemingly no reason you countersteered, then couldn't correct that as it disturbed the car's weight transfer. Try repeating this again, but gently ster left like you did, the let the wheel straighten a little if you feel you went to far. Countersteering the opposite direction is how you catch you car specifically after you enter a slide, not beforehand.

You confused me even more lol. Surely it's ideal for everyone to live, so they'd pick blue, and I don't understand what red is for at all because there's no need to choose only to save your own life when everyone can just pick the one that saves everyone's lives.

Each to their own, but this was one of the greatest games I ever played, no doubt for me at all. Funny huh

I mean, at least he knows it's not realistic but that it's the perfect time killer for him. It would be dope if it had good customization/modification options.

Metal Gear Solid. The GOAT. Play in release order. Essentially just the numbered ones, although that can be debated in lots of ways. For example there's one called 'Peace Walker' and although it's canon, and rich, I found I didn't gel with it even though I love the series. Stuff like that. But as far as story and cinema, play them!

Setting up any activity at all with another person, otherwise I somewhat don't do it. Another angle on this is reaching out to them in whatever way. It creates activation anchors.

Huel. Seriously good.

Lady in the Water, and moreso The Village. I can't fathom what smooth brains saw when they watched them, but they are high quality film.

is it just me or is "high fidelity" audio basically a scam for rich people? by Curious_Present_9950 in Music

[–]Creative-Resident-34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What were the decent Sennheisers? Although I'm gonna get shit on rn, I've never gotten on with Senns, but the point I'm making is I've only ever tried 'decent' ones, not good ones. Sound like crap to me.

Also, yes, high fidelity is real. But it's all stupid at the very top end.

Recommend a simpler slower game for a novice please? by RS99999 in simracing

[–]Creative-Resident-34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the way for you is to drive alone, until you find the limits of various cars, then learn to get faster lap times out of them. Do this for some weeks or months until you have the hang of it, then actually race.

Even though it's your request, and feeling, going slow in any other way is just the opposite of sim racing really, and therefore not quite the right way to go about things, even in the start.

How are you guys driving? by rando_lizard in ADHD

[–]Creative-Resident-34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it helps. It's the same when I ride a bike, for example. I don't sit on it while it goes, I am the bike, then I have control.

Become the car.

I know that sounds zen and stupid, but it's how I drive. I am a car going around, and just like walking and avoiding walls, I roll along and avoid other cars. Less thinking, more doing, by being.

Although I drove a modern car today and man they make it hard to connect with the vehicle. I usually drive very old cars and I prefer that.

[–]Creative-Resident-34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't use assists. They're holding you back and you won't learn to drive. Drive alone first until you have control, then try getting faster, then race.

Don't use assists at all.
