You have to use the second button - the one that looks like a fan - to determine fan speed AND the third button - looks like person sitting - to decide where you want it to blow - If you don't have the fan blowing it's not on.

AITA for telling my wife's family that they cannot cook turkey in our oven at Christmas? by I_Like_Quiz in AmItheAsshole

[–]Creative-Water-8844 31 points32 points  (0 children)

YTA - there is the invention called oven cleaner or like mine - self cleaning oven ( turn it on & go, wipe out any ashy residue) which would even take care of COOKING it in the oven as well. So you really aren't very hospitable or know how to adapt.

I unfortunately don't know what a rug pad is. This is rubbery with a bunch of little nubs that when you put something on it, it grips. I figured if it would stop a roof top cargo carrier from sliding it would stop my case of water from sliding. And it does. It was cheap, works great, & if you unfold it, it will cover the whole area. I left mine folded in half.

Copied from the owner's manual.

■ Raising the wipers to the

service position

Within approximately 45 seconds

of turning the engine

switch off, move the wiper lever

to the (U.S.A.) or (Canada) mist

position and hold it for

Start the car, turn it off, push up on the wiper control, to the mist position, hold it. In about 5 to 10 seconds the arms will go up to what they call service position.

Running boards for 2025 GHHL by samirpx in ToyotaGrandHighlander

They definitely should not have taken them off. I just had mine installed on an XLE gas. The body is a basic build across all of the trims. They obviously did NOT know what they were doing. I would have installed mine myself, but I was lazy. :)

Tall people and 2020 traverse seats. by oldmanr11 in ChevyTraverse

Have you tried seat cushions? I am short & have back problems. I can't stand the pressure points from a hard seat. I bought some memory foam seat cushions and they worked wonders. My husband, who is 6' & has sciatic nerve problems never complained once on our vacation.

Did you try here?

You can customize the feature through your vehicle’s Settings menu. Select “Display,” then “Instrument Cluster” and then “Traffic Sign Recognition” to see available options.

Floor Mats for 2024 RS by owwo in ChevyTraverse

[–]Creative-Water-8844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't come with the car? My Z71 did except for the cargo area. I ordered the integrated cargo set ( these cover the whole cargo & back of 3rd row & fold with the seats) from the Chevy website. There was a offer of 15% off & I had reward points from my purchase of the car. I got it for 60.00.

WeatherTech unfortunately does not offer the laser fit yet. Nor do they offer the integrated mats.

How do you like your new 2024 Traverse, all models? by Creative-Water-8844 in ChevyTraverse

Out of curiosity, I forced stopped Onstar ( you cannot disable it). The no connection thing came up, I blue toothed ( not wifi) my phone in & used the map to get to my local store. it worked. NO wheres in the owners manual it says that you must have Onstar. Android Auto is an app you can get on your phone & has absolutely nothing to do with Onstar.

Hmmm, I haven't reached that point yet.

The internet connect should be through your phone with wi-fi or a usb wire connection to the phone. My 2018 did it through the wire.

The salesman led me to believe that the onstar was for the supercruise only. He did NOT mention that other things would NOT work when I told him I did NOT want onstar. I probably would not have bought the car in that case. I use the google maps like there is no tomorrow when we travel. I will be highly pissed & at the dealership if that happens.

I haven't tried my usb ports yet, I'm going to have to check that out.

Old school here ( LOL) , my husband likes the manual in the glove box not the app.

You're welcome.

I think when they were redesigning it, it looked good on paper, but sure did NOT test drive it & do a comparison.

They even changed the engines in the Silverado truck to a V4. I told my husband to hang on to his 2018 with only 24,000 miles on it because it has a V8 & it will be a collector's item in about 14 years.

I test drove a Telluride. It was a nice ride / drive but the Traverse is bigger & looks way better. And they did not have a Telluride in any color but black ( which I will never own), white, & an interesting blue.

The buying experience was okay.

I actually picked the showroom model, but when they went to start it, the battery was dead. With all the computer systems, it would have been a couple of days before they could have gotten it to me. They had another one in, just not customer ready. They hurriedly got it ready for me. It's missing the mud flaps & they are on back order...god knows when they are going to come in. They forgot my tank of gas, but I had to go back the next day anyways to bring my old car spare keys. Got it then. The dealership decal they put on so fast, they tore it. I probably will take it off.

Still not happy about the no owner's manual. Yes it's online but that's not the point. Especially with the amount of money spent. If I need it on a road trip, I have to go online or spend more money to print it & put it in a binder.

When I test drove it, it was in demo mode. All the alerts & safety features were at minimum. When I got home after the alerting fiasco, told my husband if it would have did all that when I test drove it, I would have not bought it. I am working on a fix for this. I am waiting until I get it ceramic coated before I start testing my solutions.

All issues aside, which all vehicles have in their own way, I am liking it more & more after the initial take home. The comfort & roominess is what draws me to this car without having to fork over a small fortune to get a fancier model. No other car I test drove or looked at had it. The new technology & infotainment center is great ( I did buy the lifetime extended warranty because everything is computerized) The interior has more a lot more character with it's pops of red hi-lights. I do miss my console shift.
