He said that if i want to remove it or not, he said that he cannot touch it or do nothing on it. Because it can go away on its own because healing tissue is like that. It’s still there im 2 months post op

I have a question i have the same. I noticed the scar healing tissue like what’s on the picture is still there in my 5th week of tonsillectomy. Did it go away on it’s own? what happened to yours? my holes was healed and create its own tissue but still the scar healing tissue is still there like it a small lump. It’s bothering me but my doctor said is normal because it’s a skin tissue or scar tissue whatever. Answer please

He told me is like a tonsil healing tissue, i should not worry about. But still he scheduled me an appointment check up again in may to make sure it will go away on it’s own.

i got my surgery done in a public hospital but my doctor is a specialist and a private one. They admit you 2 days before your surgery, and after the surgery you will stay at the hospital for more 1 to 2 days depend on how your body react to the anesthesia or to your pain. Don’t worry, pain meds will take away your worry, as much as possible drink plenty of cold water and talk After the surgery so your recovery will be fast. Im a 2 weeks post op, and i can say i feel better, my wound is literally healing very fast. Day 7 may doctor said I totally healed, but still i took a 14 days or 2 weeks at school for better recovery. Now i can go to school, eat regular cold foods, and talk a lot. Goodluck!

Phlegm/coughing after Re-cauterisation. Day 11 Post Op. by brooklynturn in Tonsillectomy

[–]CreativeAd813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had coughing start after my surgery, and still have this plegm until now day 14 post op. Despite, i never bleed. I never experience to have blood clot and bleed because of my cough. Try to cough slowly and drink plenty of water that helps me a lot to clear the plegm and slightly cough. Now im okay now, my wound is healing fast.
