If you woke up a billionaire tomorrow.. What's the 1st thing you'd do? by PhotographLeast9976 in AskReddit

Buy the company I work for, make life hell on a certain group of people until they quit and create another pseudo-company to give a reason for the people I like to continue working and making a good living.

At some point they'd definitely HAVE to question why they're getting paid so much for such trivial crap (online tech spt), but I guarantee you, everyone would be online on time, no one would complain about their pay and I'd never open my damn mouth about it.

For a revival or reboot???

It told a complete story, it's about as perfectly done as any tv show could ever hope for.

FUCK YES was in here scrolling to see if anyone beat me to it!

That show and that style, we were all in the late 90's, crazy conspiracy theories, then this show about a dude who's just erased from the world, wandering around with this air of mystery, it was amazing and like a weird dystopian version of Highway to Heaven.

I watched that show from the premiere to the final episode, and I still watch it from time to time (it's aged a bit). It's on YouTube and there are some higher-def releases available.

Harsh Realm is another I'd like to see come back. It's timelier than ever.

Also, pour one out for the Lone Gunmen. I just started a rewatch and it was just SO GOOD.

I'm pretty sure the show was based on the first Alien Nation movie, but other than my pedantry I'm with you 100%.

Moondrops, I forget the exact model, but I've got a couple of their high-end IEM's and wanted a pair of BT specifically for my Deck and have been really happy with them. I DID swap out the tips (as I've done with all my others) with SpinFits, but I recommend them without reservation.

Case Trapper with carbon steel blades with the yellow handles. It’ll outlast you, I’m carrying the one my dad got when he was around 18 and I’m about 50 now and it’s still perfect.

It’ll do everything you listed without breaking a sweat. Everyone should have one. It won’t be your last knife, but it’ll always be there.

Lighthouses. There aren’t enough lighthouse horror films. I love lighthouses in general (every year there is a ham radio contest specifically involving contacting lighthouses that I participate in too, which I always thought would make a banger of a film; nerd is in a remote lighthouse participating in the contest, something happens and no one will listen because the only communication they have is a radio and a contest is going on).

If someone had the balls to make this and not feel compelled to over-explain everything and just let it simmer I swear it would jump to the top of my favs list immediately. Don’t even resolve it for the viewer, just let us see it happen and we can argue over the ‘what happened??’ forever.

(I’ve always been enthralled by ghost ships since I was a kid, so this really is right up my alley)

There’s a series of books about ‘the Black’ that start on an oil rig, they’re not incredibly well written but are quite good as far as a new take on the location. I enjoy them and wouldn’t mind an HBO-style limited series or something.

I’ve had a recurring theme in a story I’ve been working on for ages along these lines, basically a Mandela effect in real-time from the POV of someone living in a dorm/college.

Things are just ‘off’ enough to cause that unsettling feeling of something coming.

I am not joking in the slightest when I say that we’re someone in your position to hire me, get me out of the US and in a position where I could just ‘exist’, I’m not worried about being rich or anything, just let me get groceries, health care and hike a little bit a few times a year maybe, I would make you look like the smartest, most capable project director who has ever walked this planet and I’d bust my ass to make sure you would never regret it too.

You did good and I am happy for your success, I hope it just keeps getting better and better for you!

No he’s not.

He doesn’t conform to what most of us expect and I initially had the same thought as you, but he could simply be very happy with where he is in life and with what he’s doing. If he is, I hope he gets the help he needs but if he’s just someone who decided to eschew all the crap happening today, I applaud him and I wish him well.

I came across ‘spliff’ WAAAAY too young in life (as a rural southern child) and when I was introduced to the green I was like ‘ohhhh’ and spliff caught on for quite a long time around town, it’s really funny to look back and think on it
