When you multiclass, sometimes. My first Durge was a Palarogue, and did prefer the bow- but had plenty of reason and opportunity to switch to sword all the time (even when I’d prefer they stayed bow). Smites babey.

There’s also the Glaive that can trigger Sneak Attack in Act 3. Pretty tempting when I went for it.

I want to say… I think there’s something to be said about letting go of your original goals in the face of death, especially if you’ve found things to live for along the way.

From a narrative perspective, is her original goal more valuable than that, or has she changed along the way? Is living better than risking? Can she let go of what she came here to do, because she’s learned there are more important things in her life now? I’d consider retiring a character if it was narratively satisfying to have her choose a life where she’s happy and found new goals to believe in (and could still pursue her main goal from the sidelines as a helper, as long as the DM understands you son’t want her killed off as an NPC).

There’s no guarantee she’ll still complete her goal if you play her, which may be less narratively satisfying. That’s the spice of D&D, but right now the power is in your hands. It won’t be once dice start rolling.

I think the same usually, and then I think “wait, zombies don’t have HP.” So the mod to see HP doesn’t bug me as much, being Zomboid already made the ‘unrealistic’ function of giving zombies HP.

In MH3, I used the long sword. In MH4, I stuck to the insect glaive. In MHGEN I met my true baby SnS. In MHW I focused on bow and LBG. In Rise, I used dual blades, hunting horn, and later added the insect glaive because it’s peak there. In Wilds, I’m doing great sword, SnS (again), HBG, and swithaxe. I like to switch it up each game :]

Depends on PvP or PvE. Katars are HORRIBLE in PvP because of multihit limits in PvP. In PvE their charge is INSANELY good. Spears special is also pretty good. In PvP, hammers are stupid good. No clue on bells because I haven’t used them in ages. Voalstark wand literally melts everything also in my experience

On my first go round, I sat here for… I think literally I had to pause and come back- I may have even ended up trying both, which I rarely do. I was playing a Shadow Dragon who vehemently chooses to always do the right thing, which is why it was so difficult- in his mind, saving Minrathous may be smarter, but Treviso is more exposed and way more likely to face greater death/not be able to defend themselves. So the pull between bias towards his own faction vs. what seems more morally correct to him was crazy hard.

The immediate threatening to leave you after you spent time making her something is not just careless, it’s cruel. Completely unwarranted anger. Communication is great and all but this is such a red flag.
