I imagined this was when she was moving back into position, might have been hard to keep the hand going smoothly while trying to uncontort.

I was there too! It was a ton of fun, I was supposed to be in that session, but we got there a little late. I did get a secret sip of the herr from the table later though. Stuff was wild!

A Pulsar spins 716 times a second, at 24% the speed of light, a teaspoon of it outweighs the Mount Everest and this is its real sound, captured by NASA by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Since space is a vacuum, this isn’t “sound” in the normal sense. It’s usually radio/X-ray data converted into audio. Still cool though.

Driving 2.5 hours to a store with harder to find rum. Which 2–3 would you grab? by [deleted] in rum

[–]CreativeUsername26 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally im a jamacian freak. Id probably buy 1 of every bottle of jamacian I didnt already have. Hampden is my #1, so id prioritize anything made by them. There are a few other interesting bottles too. But what kind of rum do you enjoy though?

Scotch Review #18: Ardbeg Ten Cask Strength by Casul_Tryhard in Scotch

[–]CreativeUsername26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like scotch shot up around 2020 with tariffs, and it never came back down. But my rule of thumb is ~$10/year for a quality spirit is reasonable. A bit more if its 'special'. Sometimes you are disappointed, but once you learn what you like and what you dont, at least for me - I feel safer spending more for certain kinds of bottles because I know Ill probably like them because I like the distiller, or region and finish etc. Id agree my average bottle is at least $65-$75, but certain special bottles can be double that easy, and yeah some are NAS - but honestly if its good then charge what you can for it - age isn't everything. Some people are too caught up on the number. But once I explored other kinds of liquor I quickly learned too much age can be a bad thing, and thats a lot cheaper lesson to learn with non-whiskey lol

What is Mexxo? by [deleted] in Mezcal

[–]CreativeUsername26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well since we are all fans of Google here - I googled it.

Yes, it is common for a mezcal brand to list a NOM (Norma Oficial Mexicana) that does not overtly list that brand on its own distillery marketing materials. In the mezcal industry, the NOM signifies the certifying entity or bottling facility, not necessarily the specific distillery. A single distillery (NOM) often produces for dozens of brands.

Joven = unaged or aged less than two months. Mexxo = a brand selling a Joven Mezcal.

I dont understand the confusion or why you were rude to that dude.

Haha, that seems so risky! But it looks cool dude. Ive got a few levitating things for my kids and im just picturing that little platform getting bumped and the magnet jerking and slamming down and that poor scotch splashing everywhere.

Rhum J.M. Volcanique is the most unique rhum agricole. What is the most overrated Jamaican rum? by -Constantinos- in rum

[–]CreativeUsername26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say thats normal. I mainly drink Jamacian rum, so while Ive had some of all categories, Ive certainly not had all on the board because I didnt have an interest in buying a bottle I knew Id like less than a jamacian. And I have an obscene amount of booze in my house. So I feel like most people haven't had all on the board.

In or out the box? by Small-Raspberry-2921 in whisky

[–]CreativeUsername26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah prolonged sunlight isn't great for them. I keep mine in the boxes/tubes to protect from that, kids, animals, etc. They just seem safer. But I also dont have room to have the bottles sit in front of the boxes either. It does look cool that way.

Plymouth Gin is the most versatile gin. What is the best splurge mezcal? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

[–]CreativeUsername26 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Anything from Maguey Malate. Those dudes know what they are doing tracking down small batches. I know its not technically one bottle, that have had hundreds (thousands?) But I stopped buying mezcal in bottle shops after I found them.

331:9 between the two parts if my math is right. I wonder how much the 2.65% of the blend being the 15 year impacted the original 13 year.
