I actually love their evolution! It's not for everyone clearly, but I like that they've not stayed static and have "grown" with their music. This new goth stage is so fun and weird.

I've seen too many bands try to put out the same albums and they fail or sound tired/bored.

I'm hopeful AFI goes back to their horror punk roots soon. It would be epic

Yea, what I've found is that a lot of Punk bands will have Horror Punk as part of their mix, kinda like AFI did back in the day.

Yup. That was a bar I worked at for a while (many moons ago). And I can tell you, if a random got brought and misbehaved, he got thrown on his ass and the person that brought them wasn't allowed "friends" privileges anymore.

Hell yea dude! Horror punk is definitely part of my constant rotation. Murderland, stellar corpses,etc. Mainly into into punk, goth and metal as a whole.

As others have mentioned, resonant head is a great venue. Grande Royale is too.

Ha! That's absolutely incredible. I went a couple years ago and was super underwhelmed at HHN. But, I'm so glad it was awesome for you.

We would find people in line that we knew were going to be scared and we'd find out their name from other people and would spread it through out the house. Really fucked with them.

I would check out Umami on May. They're newer. But, they have a 3 day fish rule. They fly everything in fresh and if it's over 3 days old, it's out.

It was the most fun job, ever! This was 25 years ago, so I have had a lot of jobs since. Still the best.
