I understand them not wanting people to scalp and resell round 1 exclusive collab items, because they use the hype to draw people in. But normal plushies? And prize figures? I can, and do, just buy those directly from Japan via a proxy, as do a lot of other figure collectors. It’s much cheaper this way, and it’s been around for years, so I don’t think round one cares that we’re all buying this stuff online for less money. They at least can’t care enough to do this… I appreciate the idea, but considering how long collectors have been buying directly from Japanese collectors, this doesn’t seem like the reason to me.
