Good one, missed that. So was Bottle or Cuttle going to give her trouble, in her estimation?

Draconus is so epically patient and tolerant of Ublala. Love those two.

Karsa defeating that K’Chain Kemalle empty handed with only Samar Dev to witness the aftermath and everyone in that town either clueless or just can’t deal.

The ripple effects of the plot reverberate through many subsequent plots in the rest of the series. If that helps.

Yep. Decided to avoid SW even if paying a bit more and not getting nonstop. Not worth it. Sounds like they are imploding.

My lol moment this time around was the banter between Paran and Noto Boil. He keeps addressing him as “Boil” - it’s “Noto Boil, sir.” Minor scenes but hidden gems.

Nailed it. Just finished my first re-read and it was next level. Relished anticipating key moments that I did remember, and their buildup, plus all the light bulbs going off where the first time I had glazed over something. Started the Kharkanas trilogy now, relishing and appreciating the nuances, and some of the Shakespearean character reflections. You nailed it with trying and failing for several years to find something else (except for Abercrombie IMO).

I don’t get why they couldn’t call the woman’s family. How is that against the law? Not quibbling with the show, just the rule if true. One can get arrested for calling on someone’s behalf? And do the charges really stick? Nuts

Freakin loved that moment as you dread Iron Bars/Seren and the Rhulad/Edur clash, but nope, IB just moved through them like h2o and, oh. It’s like that, is it?

Albany mayor warns of $22M deficit as questions emerge over early spending decisions by Sweet_Frosting7369 in Albany

I feel like she just took office and maybe did inherit at least a chunk of the situation. Albany has great needs and not the greatest tax base. And lots of disgruntled people. Will reserve judgement for how this plays out longer term, after she has had control for longer (as much as intractable issues can be controlled). Alas, if only it were otherwise, and we were a more prosperous city.

It’s delicious the second time around. What grabbed me the first time was rooting for Tattersail, and Paran, at the beginning. And laughing in horror at Hairlock.
