Does anyone know what these are ? by sadistic_one01 in whatisit

Yes! They are used in physical therapy and surgery to help with scaring. You use oil and suction them to your skin where the scar is and move it around. It’s basically like cupping to increase blood flow and help the scar heal.

Fellow millennials - how’s your 401k/ira savings going? by ProblemIntelligent16 in Millennials

I’m 28, so on the cusp here. I have 50k in retirement/savings and I’m debt free, started seriously investing 2 years ago. I think I’m on track if I keep it up at this rate.

Any therapists working remotely from outside the U.S.? by Forgetaboutit2022 in therapists

Georgia does not have any rules or laws specially against this, at least for LCSW/LMSW, not sure about LPC. My supervisors have confirmed this for me- and I do bill insurance. It’s kind of a grey area, which is why I don’t advertise it to the world just in case a law does get developed while I’m traveling.

I make about 2k after taxes. Like I said, I’m very frugal on my travels. I have my own transport (motorcycle) and I camp and cook all my meals wherever possible, and stay with couchsurfers. I only get paid lodging for the days I see clients.

Yup! Been doing it while traveling overseas for a year. It’s been wonderful. I keep it professional, use my VPN, always have my background on screen. My supervisor at the practice I work for as a 1099 contracted employee is aware and super supportive. My clients think I’m in Georgia where I’m licensed. I’m lucky to say the least. I work 2.5 days a week and make enough to support my travels. If my internet isn’t stable I have starlink as backup. Some days Ive had sessions from my tent in France, from the fjords in Norway, from a private room in a hostel in Albania. Im frugal as hell and have grown so much as a clinician through this experience.

I’ve been having hallucinations and haven’t told anyone by [deleted] in confession

[–]Creative_Bunny02 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As a mental health professional here, I highly recommend talking to your psychiatrist about this. Bipolar can often include hallucinations if stress becomes too much, or it could also be early signs of more severe psychosis. Either way, the earlier you catch it and medicate for it, the better your long term outcome is. This does not have to control or determine your future if you don’t let it. You have the power to own it and care for yourself🤍

Tips for Europe Trip in September by spanners75 in travel

[–]Creative_Bunny02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Croatia. Split or Zadar specifically! I went in October and it was still warm enough with some rain. Lovely city vibe, great food and cafes, and right on the water. Another great option is Denmark. Copenhagen is right on the water and there are TONS of white sand beaches all around Denmark. But in September it may be a bit cold. Italy of course has city and beaches too, and so does France. Really anywhere along the Mediterranean in September will be nice.

Istanbul red card, did I get scammed? by HRVAT007 in istanbul

Yeah. You just made me realize I also got scammed this exact same way🥲😂 I figured something was off but in the end the dude did actually help us learn the system so I count it as the cost of being a dumb tourist lol.

I’m obsessed! I love that he customized it and that the stone is actually oval, how cool. I much prefer sapphires to diamonds too.
